    Default Raider no more

Well guys, I had enough of the cruiser world. I rode the Yamaha Raider for 2 years. It hurt my back and shoulders and it sucked in the highway. It was definitaley a good bike and gave me no mechanical troubles at all. Problem is I missed my Concours 14 very much. I missed the power and the comfort. I decided I was going to get another Concours. I did some research and shopped around, then I decided I really didn't want another seven hundred plus pound motorcycle, research indicitaded I could get a 1,000 cc bike with the same comfort and power and I wouldn't have to lug that beast around corners. I ended up finding a brand new 2014 Ninja with one mile on it. I snatched it up, here she is. [IMG][/IMG]

I look at those a lot. Never took a test ride though.

[IMG][/IMG]Thanks guys. I added some soft bags and a small tank bag. I have a hooker under my passenger seat also so I can strap another tail bag on if I want. I travel light and if I decide to camp I'll use the hooker. I installed a USB charger under my passenger seat for my devices and I picked up a ram ball mount for my cell phone. I also installed a tank protector so my jacket won't scratch the tank. That's all I plan to do to it. Now I just need it to munch miles.
My review is simple. I put 70,000 miles on my 08 Concours over 6 years and it was a great bike. The only issue I ever had was the tire pressure sensors and my front rotors warping. The Ninja is a smaller Concours. It has 10 less HP and weighs about 180 pounds less. I have felt the traction control work on a few occasions, once I was on a wet road and another I cracked the throttle after shifting to second in a turn on cold tires and I felt the rear tire slip and the power cut just a bit. My first 400 miles have been sublime.
