    Default Hannah strikes again

A some of you may know this weekend is the annual youth hunt in Michigan. My 15 year old daughter Hannah went hunting with a family friend, I couldn't take her this year because I'm having some major back issues. Anyhow we set the blind up 3 weeks ago and I knew it was a great spot, it's where I took my deer last year. I told Hannah I thought she'd have a deer by 10am. I was laying on the floor chomping it to bits waiting for the phone to ring all morning. They left at 5:45 in the morning for the 45 minute ride to our hunting area. The call came at 11:30, she actually shot her deer at 9:30 but there is no signal out there. Anyhow who has time for phone calls, they had plenty of work to do. Here is Hannah and her doe.

Of course since the weather was in the 70's we had to process this deer immediately. I was able to skin the tops of the deer but when it got to the lower parts the girls had to take over. I was useful in waving the flies and bees away while they finished the job. The deer is now in he fridge.

I was too. I bought 2 deer licenses and a turkey license and now I'm thinking I'm going to have to have back surgery to repair a ruptured disc. If that's the case I just threw $60 out the window. Hannah has one more license left and the same girl that took her hunting yesterday will do it again.
I wish you luck with your crossbow.
Hannahs shot was a 40 yard shot. The shot went through the shoulder, clipped the aorta and came out the neck. She was dissatisfied with the shot but it did its job.
