    Default Veterans Day ride

There will be a ceremony honoring our veterans at The Great Lakes National Cemetery on Wednesday. If anyone is interested in attending, the weather will be nice and it will be a good day to take a ride. I will be leaving the Waterford area about 9:45 am, It’s a quick ride to Holly and after the service, perhaps somewhere for lunch.

Worky working Yes I understand. This has beenan issue with me for many years. Veterans Day should be a Federal holiday, much like president’s day and MLK day. Close everything down and honor the people that have done the most for this country. Sure there were a couple of presidents that were cool and the guy talking about equal rights, but nobody has come close to our veterans and active duty people. Everyone should have theday off. If you’re not a Vet or active duty, you should find a Veteran and do something nice for them tomorrow and every Veterans Day. Because of your Veterans and active duty personnel sacrifices we have the freedoms we enjoy each and every day. OK I got that over with. Please, everyone have a great day today

I joined Jim to attend the ceremony. A very solemn and fitting tribute to those who served. Jim took this pic after the ceremony, sorry Jim if you wanted to post this, but I enjoyed seeing the large, diverse audience and hearing Jim's stories. Always in awe of the contribution and sacrifice of so many amazing people that protect our way of life.
