Default Lake of the Clouds 2014

So Labor Day weekend the wife and I decided to ride up to Silver City by Porcupine Mts. It was a wet weekend, but we had a blast together as usual. Camera took a shit, so it was working part of the time, and taking shit pics the next.... so we don't have much, but thought I'd share. If ever looking to go up, I'd recommend it totally!

This was our route we took once we got to the UP.

We left our house on Friday after work, pulled out at 6 sharp. First stop was Manistique. Pulled in at 1030. Rained the last 20 miles. Almost creamed a deer doing 80 on 75 (I am talking inches, closest call I ever had, totally locked the breaks up) cars were pulling past us and putting thumbs up as I cleaned the shit from down the back of my leg... from both me and wife.

This is what we rode in all day Saturday.

We always look for "Hole in the wall" bars, we write the info down for future stops. This place took first place thus far. I didn't take a picture, cause the locals were already looking at us like we were aliens... but they had a spot cut out (looked like a sawzall hole) in the counter with a lunch cooler stuffed in it, it contained ice for drinks... that was just one of the nice perks here...

    Sagola Bar

Lake Superior. Silver City, Our hotel. Americinn (recommend this place, Great free breakfast)

Brownstone Inn, hoity toity little place... expensive beers. We usually always stop any how.

Shooters B&G Munising, (on the way home) Small brewery, good eats, fire wood pizza!

    Marquette, The Dry Dock B&G

Ended up staying in New Berry Sunday... (I hate that town, borefest!!!)

    And heading home Monday.
Just outside Trout Lake, an old abandoned resort, always wanted to stop and look around... IDK why... Place was left more than 10 years ago, and looks like they just walked away. Crazy...

This room door was kicked in... comforters stolen. All the other rooms were left like they were ready for occupants. Creepy!

Traffic wasn't bad, considering they had the bridge walk.

Road in torrential down pour, and right past the tornado that touched down near Gaylord. Nice slanted ride home! lol

All done, 1150 and some odd miles. Still had fun, even with the lack of sun shine!

Yes she is. I don't like the low windshield, but it's NOT a deal breaker! Were riding it to Sturgis next year regardless.

Your Roadie looks good. Big difference on the highway from a Street/Electra Glide
