    Default Smart Helmet

    Pretty neat!

I didn't do any further research to see price, but I'd be interested, specially long trips.

So I guess the choice is between death and debtor's prison.

I love new tech applied to vehicles when done correctly and smart.

For example... my 2010 fusion is known for breaking the door lock lever next to the door handle. My wife's newly redesigned 2013 fusion has applied simple technology. Instead of a lever or an old style up/down pin, they put a red light where you would see an old up/down pin. When the red light is on, the door is locked. Simple and yet awesome. The 2013 proximity locking/unlocking outside the car. you leave the fob in your pocket. When you get out of the car you simply place your hand on top of the door handle and the doors lock. To unlock, simply put your hand behind the door handle and it unlocks as you pull the handle to open the door. Simple and awesome.

Now this helmet is a bit more techy but it is still simple and awesome tech applied in a usefull way.

I have that door issue Gas so I can relate - it sucks. I like the new fix for sure. When I buy a raptor or reaper I won't have that issue.

I was looking at this helmet wondering how I could modify my current helmet to employ this technology. I think for about $500 I could do it. But it'd be a bit frankenstein. So maybe I just buy this actual helmet as my next lid. Or I could buy a new baseball hat and call it good. OH! I could get one of those 2 beer holder hats.. now we're talking..

Mud, all you have to do is replace the interior door handle. EASY!
