I got my valves and some other misc. stuff lined up to get done this winter. It's going to end up costing me around $3-$4k but will include new valve retainers, tune, suspension and some other misc. stuff.

Hey Kosher... I'm surprised Jamie doesn't use solid piece pushrods on some of his builds... Alhall and I were talking about it yesterday. Cars like my stang use solid piece... you measure what you need and bang.

Wonder if car pushrods would work? Summit carriers all these car sizes....

He stands by these pushrods. I'm trying to remember the details of why, but he made a good argument. I dont have a problem with them per se, part of the issue is that with stock jugs, the fins stick out much farther next to the intake pushrodsl. With the FM jugs, they are nearly flush, and its hard to get a pry point.

If I wasnt a pussy, I'd collapse the exhaust push rods and take them out in order to get to the intake ones, but I'm a pussy.

Well sure, I guess you'd have to conclude that, yes.

The pushrods are fine, if I'm removing them it would be to replace the tubes with SE tubes which would give me more room to adjust. And a lot cheaper.

It's not that hard to pull the tank. I would worry about the push un-adjusting itself.
