    I am not in that big of hurry where I need to split the lanes.... Time saved is not worth the risk.....IMO

    I use to do it... at a much higher more unsafe speed. It's not bad on the smaller sport bikes.

    Yeah I don't think it would ever fly here but in Cali it's almost a must, do it or bake in the sun.

    Did it a few times but makes my butt pucker. You never know when a car or door is gonna pop open..

    The first time I saw lane splitting I was in San Francisco doing interviews. I was on my way into the city with the headhunter. We picked up a random person from the bus stop so we could use the HOV lane, I was shocked anyone was willing to jump into a strange care with two adult males (let alone a petite female). Then as we are cruising through rush our traffic bikes are winging past us like we were sitting still... Not sure I have the brass ones to be scooting between cars at 65+ mph.

    Also at some point during that ride didn't he clip a car mirror with his mirror?
