Default Vance & Hines Dresser Duals

Kosher came over yesterday and we pulled his Full Sac headers and replaced them with a dresser duals, because he's starting a pipe fetish and wanted to copy off Dave who copied off AlHall.

    Anyway, we pulled the old

    The new V&H

I forgot to get a good after shot so I got these two shots...

Hopefully, Kosher will get us something better.

With his Kury Crusher exhaust they sounded AMAZING!! This is the third time I have heard this pipe with three different mufflers... each time they sound great with a slight difference. This is for sure the same header I am getting... muffler TBD.

Cell phone pic. Thanks, once again, to Chris. Always great to hang out and swing a wrench. And RedneckMedic even came by in his ambulance, LOL!

When I left the house at 8am, it was 40 degrees and raining. Sat through a 15 minute traffic jam on I75 shortly after I got on while they removed some construction barrels.

Rained the whole way down, I'm sure the cagers thought I was nuts. It warmed up to a balmy 45 and rainy when I left at about 130.

The sound improvement is exactly what I was after. Not much different at idle, but a very nice bark when you get on it.

Honestly I'm surprised I like the way they look as much as I do, I was really after sound, but I think they look great. My right side floorboard support arm is hitting the heat shield causing a pretty substantial vibration, which is a fairly common issue with these headers. I have floor board extensions on the way which should solve that problem.

Here's a pic of the floor board support plate. Note where the scratch is. Pretty certain the extensions will eliminate the problem.

I need to add a twist to Chris's expression: "Custom don't bolt on!". Heck, even bolt on don't bolt on!

My expression covers bolt on. Still custom to your bike setup

They look great...that was one of the reasons that I bought them too...not only do they sound awesome...they flow with the bike.....
Keith...are your heat shields notched out for your floor board support arm? Mine is....so nothing is touching the floor board support arm...

Yeah, they are. I think there are so many installation variables here that its difficult to be consistent and like I said I've heard from many folks that they've had similar problems. I do think that the floorboard extensions will do the trick.

Were your Fulsacs the exchange ones where they gut a stock pipe (remove the cat) then ceramic coat them? I have been thinking of going that route with mine just to loose some heat with the free flowing exhaust, at least till I can get the Dand D fat cat 2into 1 that I want.
