    So, I picked up the new ride a couple weeks ago. It's a great bike, and I love it, however, as GasMan & Caveman will attest, the clowns who did the service at the dealership where I got it are not exactly at the top of the mechanical aptitude scale.

    One of the issues, and a very minor one, was the right spotlight adjustment. This thing would shine at the underside of an overpass when I'd drive through. Ridiculous, especially when you consider the same dealership extremely over tightened the final drive belt, and I mean OVER TIGHTENED!!!

    They also didn't have a clue how to adjust the clutch (something I learned in 2 minutes watching a Youtube video).

    Anyway, I went to adjust the light today, and discovered that you have to have a special socket that allows the light wiring to pass through. They call it a 'flare nut' socket, and the only place I can find one is through Snap-On. And since it says Snap-On, you know that the price tag is high. They want $42 freaking dollars for a socket! Here's what it looks like:



    So, being the thrifty type, I pulled an old 9/16" socket out of the scrap tool box and took my cut off wheel to it. Here is the homemade 'Crap On' version:



    It didn't come out as pretty and clean as that Snap On, but the job is done for ZERO dollars!

    I got one of those at autozone for my o2 sensors on my pipes. It cost like 5 bucks.

    I went through AutoZone's website and couldn't find anything like that. I can find a 7/8 but not a 9/16"

    Either way I like it and would done the same thing. I love my grinder and cut off wheel.
