    Default UP Pub crawl.... ;)

So we decided to take a long weekend and go north, since I rebuild the engine, we really hadn't put a ton of miles in one short time frame. We only did 1200 miles, but it was good to know my first engine build thus far has proven stable. Ran like a damn top! Never hit over 230, and that was only on the 95 degree return on Sunday. Just a few selfish photos...

Thursday rode to Mackinaw, stayed the night, in the morning we took the Mackinaw trail north to 134 to Detour Village (by Drummond Island) Didn't hit the Island. After a pub in Rabar Bay headed towards the Soo, hit 28 and took that straight to Marquette. Stopping at a few pubs along the way... Stayed the night there, then headed up to Gay for the day... Then headed South to Escanaba and Manistique for Saturday night. Then home... NOT really too much. Good time with just me and the wife.

Thursday after work, we busted to Mackinaw, it was dark so we took a selfy in our room! Woop woop! Notice the HOT TUB!!!

Random stop on our way to Detour Village (Friday), wife was cold, had to put her coat on.... ssspspppffft!

    Munising American Legion stop.

Brownstone Inn, about 20 miles outside of Munising. Wife was thirsty...

On our way to Gay (Saturday), bike got a little wet... no biggy! Didn't dampen our spirits...

    Made it!

They must have problems with people stealing there sign... too funny.

We complained about the cell service... this is what we were handed....

    Escanaba... wife's butt hurt...

That's it, that's all I had.... just a lot of selfys...

Definitely! Were pretty flexible, (since only one of our four kids are still home) if we don't already have a ride planned... We always end up in the UP at least 3-4 times a year. Usually solo only because all of our friends still have a litter at home!

Not really that hard... it's more the stigma of "going that deep"... I used to rebuild our race bikes all the time (Moto cross)... different, but same concept...

Only reason I did the upgrade is while riding through the hills of Virginia loaded down riding 2 up, it just seemed soooo doggy. NOW? I don't even have to down shift going 55 in 6th gear, I hit 80 like right now!
