    Default Modified FLH Kickstands

For lowered 1" FLHTCU like mine and the raised up FLHX like Rick's with the 26". My bike barely leans and Rick's leans way way hard.

I found a nice PM extended version for ricks... lengthening the stand from 9.5" to 10.5"

It's nice, nice foot tab, uses stock rubber bumper and spring. Only $70 AWESOME!

    For my 1" lowered bike I found a Ness 8.5" kickstand $80
    Ness #11-022
    Drag # 0510-0189

Both of these ideas are in the FatBook LINK

But the Ness stand for lowered bikes. The foot tab is short, the rubber stopper looks craptastic.

There is an alternative... Pingel. Made in USA and great looking. Nice long foot tab. Pingel makes great stuff...

    BUT... $190 on amazon.

Do you guys know of any other alternatives?

I think it was The Horse that had an article a bit back on tips of how to do this best w/ different kickstands (e.g. hollow tube vs. solid bits)

My only concern with those aftermarket jiffy stands is the fact that you loose the little tab lock that doesn't allow the stand to fold up with a bit of a roll while on the stand.

Yeah I could... then get it powdered or something... BUT most of these are Tig welded and I don't have that ability.

That is a seperate piece that just goes under the top bolt like a washer, so that is re-used. No worries!

Mig would be just fine, done a bunch of them and never a problem. Good rattle can paint holds up pretty good seeing it's just a kick stand

Chris my old man is an excellent welder. He cut the one on my Gixxer down and welded the foot back on when I lowered that so I could touch the ground. If not him Mike Remer is one of the top welders in the U.S. He works for Chrysler but I'm sure he would be happy to help a brother out.
