    Default Point the mileage on the bushing

    These are fork bushings out of a set of forks.



    Which bushing is 5k miles and which one is 25k miles??

    Do you know that the bushings are made of copper, because it's a softer metal and therefor will wear out before the sliding wears out the fork tubes or lowers??

    So ask yourself... what are they suppose to look like new?

    Why would they change the look?

    shouldn't they look like copper new...and as they wear down....the coating wears off...kinda like how a tire wears down to the wear bars?

    So a piece made of copper starts as copper and then wears down to show something other than copper? Is that what you mean?

    yeah...I remember when we were looking at the bushings on the BD when we did my forks last May...you were telling something about that
