Default Changing Top Clamp on 2003 SuperGlide - Need Suggestions

I've got a 2003 SuperGlide that has the ugly black handlebar top clamp and speedo pictured below. I want to do something polished or chromed that looks cool to replace it. The issue is the speedo is bolted on top of the clamp. It's downright ugly with a capital UGLY!

The second picture is something I've looked at, but can't come up with a reasonable way to attach the speedo. Suggestions?

The third picture is from JP Cycles - anyone have an idea on whether I can make this work? It has the light 'holes' for the turn signal/neutral indicators, but I'd still have to come up with a way to attach the speedo.

    HELP!

Theres some nice small digital speedos out there. I think dave had a cool one on the dog. If it were me though i would probably end up just xing out the speedo and really cleanin it up and going with the one from j&p.

If you are considering the DD, understand that mad dog from value tech, site sponsor, is a DD dealer.

Have you considered just having your speedo holder chromed or powdered??

I hadn't thought of chroming the existing bracket & clamp. I just might do that. Chrome plater recommendations?

    Consider the powdercoating... it's cheaper.

We also have a chrome plater sponsor here CCP

Well, I found a chrome clamp set on eBay and changed the clamp assembly out today.

I still need to get the chrome speedo bracket/housing, but it's available from a few places. That should finish the look.

What do you think? I know, I know, the picture is a little on the crappy side, in the dark with the iPhone....

The current bracket has a very rough texture to it. I'm thinking its probably just as cheap and easier to order the Harley bracket. It's listed on the HD site for about $95, but I've found it cheaper on other sites , I think about $80.
