These shocks are NOTHING short of amazing.

I found out they only go to about 3.5 notches and they are fully done.

So I had them on notch 2 and they were pretty good riding solo. But setting up the bike for two-up and put my tourpack back on, so I went to notch 3.

Rode with tourpack and 130# wife on back.

AMAZING!!! is what the wife said. 200 miles and I don't think it ever bottomed out and she never got bounced forward. Now I know I'm doing the fronts this "mod-season". I love these things!!

Do they have a softer ride over small sharp bumps then the stock air shocks when solo?. I'm 185 lbs and ride solo only, and I feel the stock 13" are to stiff on small hit's.

Well you can adjust that on your air ride by adjusting the air psi.

But yeah they are softer. However, the softer you make anything the more likely you are to bottom out on big holes/bumps.

Then the 944s are the direct replacement. Being a SG, no change in ride height either.
