Thumbs up Dad's 76 HD FX repairs...

    It started like this...

hBut He had a list of things...

    -pull rims for tire change
-pull rear rim to remove seat
-remove headlight from the FLH front end
-rewire a new set of control switches
    -replace handlebar bushings
    -Drain and remove gas tank
-replace and reroute gas lines & cross over tubes
    -install a speedo cable
    -remove outer primary
    -adjust primary chain

Got the rims off, and removed the bolt from above the rear wheel and into the seat.

YES, to remove the seat you must remove a bolt above the rear wheel. STUPID! Remember the oil bag and filter are under the seat!! F'in STUPID!!

Removed the headlight/fork covers, and handle bars...

    Gas tanks off

Found the ignition key was touching the bottom of the gas tank, so out comes the grinder...

Got the gas tanks all back on with new & rerouted gas lines

FIL needs to get the tires swapped and need an outer primary gasket, so we couldn't finish the job....

But we did most of it done. He said he will swap the wiring and switches later. Also found some wire's under the rear fender that were rubbed by the tire. He is also thinking of installing some blinkers and passing lamps.

All in all, it was fun, working in the pole barn with dad on this old shovel.
