Lots of ppl, mostly the International and Kalifornia crowd, bitching about the track at Indy. What they don't realise is that compared to the rest of the tracks in the US, it may not be the best layout with the best pavement and the best sections, but it IS the best at the rest of the amenities the MotoGP world requires.... things like Lots of local Hotels, lots of press buildings and garage spaces, some of the best spectator areas on the whole circuit, etc etc. Not to mention only a couple of hours from us. I will be sad if/when it leaves.

I'm going to the 2013 GP in Indy. Been to many Indy 500's and Brickyard 400's but never GP.

Stay downtown if you can. Skip the flat track racing @ the indiana state fairground - it is a rip off and the grandstands suck. Do go downtown during the weekend to see the chaos of 8 bazillion bikes, hot chicks, celebrities, etc. Do not buy your tickets ahead of time - scalping is legal in Indiana. Do not pay for parking ahead of time - you can park real close on a person's lawn for $5. Do not pay for reserved grandstands - they are a rip off. General admission has the best view grandstands anyways. If you see me there - do buy me a Fosters it's australian for buy mudpuppy a fucking beer.

We camped across street from start/finish. (2nd year in a row)

Long drive but well worth it. I'll post up some pics when I get a chance.
