    Default Suspension Upgrade

Ok, not sure if this has been posted on before but I couldn't find it.

I am looking to upgrade the suspension on the Ultra and would like to get some input from any of you that have done or are thinking about doing this.

I was looking at progressive suspension and probably what I will go with unless I get a better alternative.

    Rears Fronts

I have also looked at Traxxion but they seem a bit pricey

    Thanks for the input

There is no better than Ohlins and Howard at motorcycle metal has all the answers. I here the best results on the front are progressive mono tubes. I found a good deal on some Ricor touring shocks that I got for half off from the classifieds and they suit me good but I hear nothing but praise from the guys with the ohlins. There are several options and they are custom made to your weight and riding style.

Cave... I have done minimal homework on this, but you may want to talk to my bud Tim at the dealer. He's really up on this stuff. He loves working on jobs for people who actually ride their bikes instead of all the trailer queens.

thanks alot Al!!!! Great now that I have visited that site I like you more but my wife and our pocketbook will hate you. hahaha... I now have a desire to get the Carbon Fiber (CF) wheels. Those things are super sexy....except the $4000 price tag

but the Ohlins info is pretty cool I will have to give them a call in the next week or two to figure out what I will be lookin at for pricing there for the rears. I think thought that I will be going with the Progressive N2 drop ins.

Gas, I will prolly go talk to Tim next week on my off days after my night shift.

    I spoke to Tim.

it's the 940's for the rears. They are the matched rears to the nitro drop in fronts. He also said on the fronts... it will even eliminate most of the front end diving under braking...

Something about....They even drop the bike 1" but with better suspension travel when riding.

You're looking at about $1k for both ends.

What I saw was that with the whole package would be about $1K for the whole shot front and rears together. Or, is that what you meant? Sounds like you mean $1K for the front and $1K for the rears

Nah.. for both! $1k total, the entire job. It's only $400 for the fronts, but 6 or 7 for the rears...
