    Default Gilmore Vintage Motorcycle Show

    Have any of you ever attended the annual Vintage Bike Show at the Gilmore Car Museum, north of Battle Creek?* Here is a link to their website:

    * http://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/html/events.php

    I've gone the last 6 years, or so, and it is a FANTASTIC event.* There are HUNDREDS of bikes, some old, some new, some held together with bailing wire and duct tape.* All are worth checking out.*

    By freeway, it is about a 1.5 hour ride from the metro Detroit area, longer if you take backroads.* The grounds of the Gilmore complex are beautiful.*

    Since there is already discussion on this forum about possible ride destinations for next year, I'd like to suggest this as one possibility.*

    Last years' Vintage Day was June 8; the Gilmore site does not have their 2009 event schedule posted, but I'm guessing it just might be Sunday, June 7, 2009.*

    What do y'all think????* We could even ride up on Saturday, and cop a motel as a group.

    Cool, i'd be game for this.
    Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy Sh*t... WHAT A RIDE!"
