    Default Would you risk it?

Noticed this today while changing my oil. Not sure how long it's been in there (could have happened today) but it appears to be holding air. Would you ride to the dealer (about 20 miles) or have them send a flatbed to pick it up.

Hard for me to tell from the pic, is it a piece of wood? Looks like it did not penetrate the carcass. Pull the damn thing out; if it doesn't leak, keep an eye on it. If it doesn't leak, ride more, worry less.

I'd pull it and see if it leaks. If it doesn't I'd ride it to the repair place.

It's the rear tire. I took it out for a little ride yesterday, still holding air and no issues. As long as there is still air in it when the dealer gets the tire in I'll be riding it in. Just didn't want it to work it's way out and go flat on me on the way there.

Well then you know... but yeah with rear tire at least if it goes bad on the ride in... wont be as uncontrollable.

Last night I had a great idea, I set the piece of wood on fire and as it burned away the heat melted the rubber back together and the hole no longer exists...weird

Just kidding, tire should be in by Friday. Hope to have it fixed this weekend.
