Default New guy from Ann Arbor checking in

HI, I'm new, I'm looking at buying my first motorcycle this year.

I'm joining the forum to learn about the sport and the bikes.

I know enough to know I don't know anything.

    Welcome to the site!

If you haven't already done so, I would strongly suggest taking a MSF safety course before you purchase a bike. You will get a chance to ride in a closed course and get a chance to see if motorcycles are for you. Upon completion of the course, most(if not all) insurance companies will give you a discount. What you learn in the course may save your life.

Welcome! Take it slow and really learn how to ride. Anyone can move a motorcycle, but there is a lot more to it.

Also I strongly recommend not riding with Gasman unless you just want to ride straight lines all the time

Don't ride with Mud either unless you want to be accosted by the yellow Power Ranger.

Thanks guys. I'm on the waitlist for several of the MSF classes. That is one thing that I've heard from every rider I've ever talked to over the years. Hopefully, I can get into a class in June.

    First, welcome.

Second, I recently took the class with my wife, who until then had never been on a motorcycle, at Schoolcraft in Garden City and it was definitely worth it. If you show up half an hour early on Friday night they'll let you in if there's room or if someone doesn't show up.
