Default Mudpuppy Worldwide Press Conference May 6, 2011

MP Racing officially announces today a new ride in the stable. This has been a long time coming and after much discussion with upper management, aka the fun governor, aka the holder of the nuts, it is rumored MP was told "get the damn bike", so he did. Without further adieu I give you the new hotness:

    Nice bike!

Now your bike matches the picture!

It looks as though you've had one before. What happened to the original one?

Congrats, nice ride. Remember this, next time just man up and get what you want, don't ask. It's easier to ask for forgiveness then permission.

The one in my signature picture was a rental last year in Tennessee from sportbikes4hire. I rode the 08 at VIR on the track at Yamaha days with Nesba. The 08 was decent but I thought the 06 was better. I was leaning towards 06 or 09 and ran across this one. So in short I never owned this exact R1 before.

Exactly. Kind of what I did in a round about way.

Thanks - too bad the coat I bought off you doesn't match but doesn't matter I am rocking U of M colors - blue and yellow, lol. And I would rather have a sweet bike and not match then a not as good bike and match.

2006 Anniversary Edition. The SP model. Plan on doing the WSL soon but have unfinished business with the R6 and some new tires. Need to do some tire testing so I will be riding the R6 out there as soon as I can get out there. Was busy this weekend.
