Default National Motorcycle Museum - West Midlands, UK

One of my goals while over here in the UK was to see a Brough Superior, favorite of confirmed bachelor T.E. Lawrence. I had never seen one in person before.

They have tens of them including 6 or 7 SS100's. They're all amazing

Anyone want to start a vintage trials match?

Dad's favorite, a couple of Norton P11's. Scarmbler pipes, low cocktail shakers, whatever you want.
    DSCN2661.jpg
My favorite, Norton Manx. Did you know that "Manx" was a factory abreviation for "I.O.Man" which was in of itsself an abreviation of Isle Of Man?

    Excelsior (/Henderson). Just a few.

Opposite ends of the spectrum. I like to go around corners myself.

But I imagine a blistering 1/4 mile has its appeal as well. Anything with conjoined motors is cool.

After seeing my friend Billy's Matchy I've really developed a soft spot for them. Everything about them looks "right"

Dig the color on polished alloy. The Brough's have this as well. How do they manage to keep the paint on (when everyone says it won't stick)?

NUT (Newcastle-upon-Tyne). Check out them crazy pipes man!

I also picked up a couple of postcards. Paul, Chris (Gas), and Tele, PM me with your address and I'll send you one from London.

Chris, I did see that episode. He rode from Luton to Edinburgh (?), while James drove an XK120 and Jeremy rode a steam train. That's a brutal 8 hour drive but I'd take 2 out of the trhee (don't tell Trainman, I'm not a fan).

Yeah I'm alive and even responded to a PM but it may have been when the site was migrating.

This joint is biker Valhalla. Smooth twisty country roads, mild rideable winters. More KTM & BMW's than billet barges (no offense intended Chris) and never further than 20 miles from a pub. Most of which will let your dog in but not the neighbors kids!

Don't worry though, I'm suffering just like you. I haven't ridden anything over here, at all. I've missed 3 or 4 meet-ups and rides because of work travel.

Since every thread is worthless without pics... Cheers

I finally found T.E. Lawrence's (Lawrence of Arabia) Brough. In the Imperial War Museum, London.

Monday... I repeat Monday May 2nd

I received the post card Chris300s sent me from here.

On its face was a sticker.

    Royal Mail
The sender of this item applied insufficient Airmail postage, so we diverted it to an alternative service.
    The may have caused delay.
So Chris... when did you send the postcard? LOL
