Default Rainy and high 40s a trip to the tunnel of trees

Some friends and I took a trip to the tunnel of trees a couple weekends ago here are some of the photos from our trip. We were supposed to ride to traverse city, leelanau, tunnel of trees, mackinaw, st. ignace then down the right side of the state. However, due to weather and such we cut out the st. ignace and east side of the state and decided to ride back to the tunnel of trees for a second visit.

only two of us drink, and I have no means to carry alcohol so we got a 15 pack for the night.

my tennis shoes with grocery bags were not gonna cut it anymore so I broke down and bought some gators.

all my rain gear says harley yet i ride a yamaha... go figure

    leelanau...

my running light decided to explode

good thing for a tool bag

the skies for all of saturday and parts of sunday

legs inn. they had some polish dance group there, bunch of cute girls...however, they took all of the cabins for rent. so we ended up staying in levering some small town.

    our 70's motel in levering

saw fuelman in levering...he is saying give me your money bitch.

    off to the bridge

    the gang

    my ass

    my camera rig

on the way home my seat spring decided to break in two places

so i ghetto rigged it...too bad it only lasted for 3 miles. sure is a pain riding with one butt cheek nearly on the frame.

When I got home I noticed the constant high speeds backed my taillight bolts out...guess I should have used locktite

Either way I still had a fun time, we managed 811 miles and as I figured before the trip my bike isn't really meant to be a long distance any weather bike.

Great pics. Looks like an epic ride for sure. You went thru there on the 24-26 weekend? I did too and had great weather!

Nice HD gear... you can't say much else about it, it's good stuff for sure.
