    ok but does it have a hex on it with holes for safety wire like the k&n? or do you think i could tack weld one on without ruining the filter? how thick is the case?

    That's a good question. I bet you could email K&P and ask them. In that thread I linked I emailed them about their filters and they were very easy to talk to and open.

    It comes with a filter wrench designed fot that specific filter. The one in Gas Mans pic came with his filter. They come in chrome, billet, black anodized and can have the ridges diamond cut. If it can't be seen the billet is the least expensive.
    What's the safety wire for?
