About 4 years ago, after buying my first motorcycle I found myself using a little known leather care product called Doc Bailey's. I liked this stuff so much I began looking into selling it and contracted with a company called Startlogic to host my website. Now hosting was one thing I could afford, constructing and publishing was up to me. Not being an internet guru I was surely flying blind at this point but I was determined to succeed.

After talking with Mike Bailey on several occasions I agreed to part with about $500 and buy some product. Well things proceeded very slowly but as time went on sales began to happen. It was at about this point I had the pleasure of meeting Gas Man. He was one of my Doc Bailey customers. Well he went back to the guys at Big Dog and told them about me and that helped a lot. (Thanks Chris) It wasn't long after I added Blue Job Chrome Cleaner then Global Vision Riding Glasses and the rest as they say is history.

I am ValueTeck. I am a one man operation. I drive a tractor trailer by day making local deliveries and pickups and operate ValueTeck by night. Everything I sell comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Please feel free to PM me with any questions.
Thank You,

Yep... I'm so glad I have been able to help ValueTeck grow. I think like many others the connections I made thru the big dog guys were big.

I hope to see the same type of growth here as I did with your company and BDB. I truely enjoy seeing others suceed.

I have said it many times boys and girls. But Don really is man of legends. He will bend over backwards to help us.

If there is anything you need MC related. He will help us get it.

Find me some overglasses that don't make me look like a senior citizen that just had eye surgery.

I wear glasses made of glass, not plastic. It scares the hell out of me to ride without a shield, one bad skip of a stone and I'm out an eye. Problem is I hate the shield, especially on those warm sunny days.

I'd like to find some decent looking overglasses that don't cost $75. Too much $ and I may as well get prescription sunglasses, but that screws me for nightime.

Either a good pair of transition lenses or two cheap pair of clear and smoked.

Whaddya' got?

I know what you mean about the eye surgery glasses. I think the only other way is to go with goggles designed to fit over glasses. I've found 2 that might work. Check these links and let me know what you think. I normally need to order a dozen of a product but I think I can convince my salesgirl Kelly to sell me one to check them out. I'll be placing an order in a week or so.

Worse than that, they're bifocals! They're the blended kind without a line. My eyes are so fucked up that even the lined ones would suck, I could see close or far, but the dashboard would always be fuzzy. These slowly change from near to far and cover everything in between. With them I have excellent vision. Without them I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between your face and a buffalo's ass, not that there's all that much difference to begin with!

Next time I buy glasses they'll be plastic lenses so I don't have to worry about breaking them on a ride. I hate plastic, they scratch too easily, but I'd rather deal with that than a shield.

Gas Man
12-18-2009, 02:15 PM
Well you can get the plastic and a anti-scratch coating.

Link those glasses from J&P. Give Don time... see what he can do.

How big are the glasses you wear. I have a buddy that wears the Hercules I sell over his glasses. If the glasses you wear are similar in size like the ones in your pic they might work. PM your address to me. I'll send you a smoked pair. If they fit you can pay me. If not you can find someone that can use them.
Check em out here. Watch the video of them being run over by a fork truck. Nylon Frame. Pretty cool.

Very similar, they're pretty small.

Send me a clear pair, my glasses are transitional. If they'll change with the clear glasses over them I'm good. If not I'll get a pair of smoked off you as well for daytime. I'll pay whether they fit or not, my problem ain't yours and you're in business. Once we know what's what I'll pay you for whatever I get.

Tip: I keep a safety pin in the end of each strap to pin the loose strap down so it won't wip in the wind.

Great product, Strange name for sure. Originally designed to remove bluing from exhaust pipes it does a great job on all chrome. The difference between Blue Job and other chrome polishes is that Blue Job contains no abrasive grit. It is a chemical reaction that leaves chrome looking new because it dosen't "scratch to clean". This is also non-acidic and Ph neutral so you can apply it with your bare hands. One container will do a complete set of pipes or other chrome surfaces of equal area. Give it a try. If you don't feel it's the best chrome polish you've ever used send me back the empty container and I will give you your money back. No questions asked.

I spent a little time crusing the net and reading testimonials from BJ users as well as reviews. It appears everyone likes the stuff. One thing I noticed is that the company website says it'll remove melted on globs of boot sole. I could only find one reviewer that mentioned this, and he seemed pretty happy with the results.

Has anyone here ever used it for that purpose? There's a lump of melted rubber that was on the pipes when I got the bike. I'd really like to get it off there.

Without making this sound like "Snake Oil" I have had customers tell me this stuff removes just about anything. If it don't take it off the only way left is to grind it off with an abrasive type polish.

You can actually get it off with oven cleaner and I have also heard of using tin foil.

Tin foil? What do you do, wear it like a hat and hope the Government's mind controlling gamma rays are redirected to the pipes?

Ok, let me guess for real. Put the foil on the glob, heat with a propane torch, it melts and sticks to the foil?

So I'm down stairs cleaning my stainless revolver and have been noticing some tarnishing lately on the front of the cylinder. When I first got this gun it was coming off easily using bore solvent. Lately it has been a real bitch to completely remove. So I rembered Chopper Dave with those bad ass Stainless Creations and go up to the garage and grab the Blue Job. Yea I know this is a sales pitch but in less than a minute the cylinder looked brand new. Only problem was that now I had to do the rest of the gun.http://www.bigdogbiker.com/forums/images/smilies/03.gif Anyway you guys with stainless firearms should keep a can of this stuff around. Let me tell ya. People may wonder why I give him so much praise and constantly link his site everywhere I go on the net. Well boys and girl listen up to learn why.

I have a pair of glasses I purchased from him some time ago. Well they had some scratches from falling off my head. The frames have lost their grab, if you will. Well I asked Don about it, with the mindset of buying a new set. Nearly mins after I click send on the email. I get a new pair at my door stop. Before I could speak to him about payment, warrenty, anything. Even sent me a present with them.

The transitions are good. I wear them at night with some lanyards to help keep them tight on my face. Which is my biggest gripe about them. They seem to lay forward and slide down the nose.

I LOVE the hercules glasses. They fit tight, you can bend em and everything. Plus they are ANSI rated. So I can wear that at work even.

which glasses did you get ive been thinking about getting the transition ones do you like them

Not sure what brand Don sells, but in all honesty they all do the same thing. I have a set of Bobsters that I absolutely LOVE. Even at night there is still a light tint to the glasses which I thought would be a hinderance, but in fact it is almost perfect. Doesn't really affect your night-vison, but REALLY cuts down on the glare of oncoming headlights. Like I said, I'm not sure what brand Don sells...but I know he sells quality stuff. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a pair. It's wonderful only having one pair of glasses that work for EVERY lighting condition.

Here's a pic of mine:
http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy154/garrethwolfe/100_1858.jpg

edit: Just checked Don's website. Looks like he sells Global Vision. I was originally going to get a pair of GV's but the only pair the store I went to had left was the display pair. They're nearly identical to the ones I have and 50-60% of the price. HIGHLY reccomend them.

This is the product I started my company with. It is in my opinion the best leather care product on the market. There are 2 products I highly recommend for riders. The Leather Black. It has a dye in it and is only for black leather and The Leather Clear. The Leather Clear has the same properties as the Leather Black without the dye. Both products Actually Waterproof! Unlike other products that are water resistant Doc Bailey's will keep you dry.
Here's my Guaranty: Use the entire bottle. If you are not completely satisfied send me the empty bottle and I will refund your money. I am that confident you will like it!

Sent Don a PM, he got with them, and before you know it they're here.

Also got a Green Light Trigger after getting cuaght at red lights a couple times last year, and some Blue Job. I'll report on the BJ after I try it out.

Thanks again Don!

Yeah, I never thought about it until I got stuck. Waited thrugh several cycles and had to run both of them. One wasn't bad, it was early Saturday and I was on a pretty empty road. The second one was with SportstersPaul and JerryGSX. Me and Paul ran it, Jerry and the other guy almost got popped by the police!

They're big, but not as big as some I've seen. You got to expect that though. I wouldn't want to wear them around for regular sunglasses but with the helmet on they just look like small goggles.

I have read that rare earth magnets work well for tripping lights. We really don't have any triggered lights around here, but I do have a couple that found their way home from work stuck to the underside of my frame. If I come across any of the triggered lights, I'll let ya know. ;-)

No idea how it works yet. Come to think of it, I may never know. I got stuck by two lights last year, so if I don't get stuck by any this year I guess it's a success!

It's a very strong magnet that attaches under the bike. They don't care where, as long as it's parallel to the road. It should be as low as possible, so under a frame, footboard, etc. Here's the link to it on MD's website:

http://www.valueteckenterprises.com/page5.html

A lot smaller than I expected, just clean the area and stick it on.

Hey, if nothing else maybe I can fish for old boat motors with it....

All I know is that I got stuck. Out here in Washtenaw County almost every single light is looped and the ones that aren't are being changed. I'm hoping it works, but for $15 it's worth a shot and cheaper than a ticket for disregarding a traffic light.

RoadZombie
04-16-2010, 02:43 PM
Should also help at drive-thru windows. LoL Used to install the systems for them...same idea, just a big inductive loop in the pavement that triggers the signal that someone is at the order board. Now you can trip traffic lights AND pick up a Coke at Burger King. Haha!

Yeah I think a lot of people expect them to work on traffic lights where it goes by weight or an electronic eye.

telecast
04-16-2010, 07:13 PM
There are no electronic eye traffic loops, otherwise you could trigger them by walking in front of the beam. Even a squirrel could trigger it. I've also not heard of a weight sensitive loop in some time, every project I've worked on has used induction. I'll check with someone in our MDOT/Roads group to see if they're doing anything other than induction.

Mad Dog
04-16-2010, 08:46 PM
The induction traffic lights are also adjustable. If you have one you have trouble with on a regular basis you can call the D.O.T. and ask them to adjust the sensitivity.
If they tell you they can't there blowin smoke up your ask. Either way keep a copy and date of the letter. Might help if you get busted going thru it.

Mudpuppy
04-17-2010, 10:45 PM
interesting.. i always assumed it was weight triggered.. you learn something new everyday..

Mad Dog
04-18-2010, 11:05 AM
A lot of motorcycles don't have enough iron metal mass to trigger the induction systems. A strong magnet will in most cases trick the system into recognizing you as large enough mass to trigger the light to cycle.

They are multi purpose and have a nylon frame that is extremely durable. Comes in smoked(very dark), yellow and clear. You will find the lenses are very clear and do not distort. They have no foam. If you don't agree these are your best "kick around" sunglasses I’ll give you your money back.

Guys I got what might be the last case of Doc Bailey's Leather Black in the 8.8 oz. bottle.
The manufacturer is planning on switching to all 4 oz. kits.
The difference is volume. You can have 8.8 oz. with an applicator for $21.95 or a 4 oz. kit with an applicator and a cheap rag for $16.95. Most guys get a couple years out of a 8.8 oz. bottle! Ask Chris This is great stuff for black riding leathers. It will clean, condition and waterproof(yes it actually waterproofs). And......it will make faded black leather look new again. And with $1.99 shipping it will never be cheaper.

Never heard of Doc's before. It made the coat BLACK! Looks much better. Perhaps it will get even better next time I put it on.

FYI, it is like shoe polish and can be messy if you are not careful and at least if your jacket needs the help mine needed, you have to buff it after or it will rub off black.

for munchies) I said drink. If you needed a lighter that was not in the plan. lol
5. Without delay place said glasses in direct warm sunlight and let them set till warm.
6. Now would be a good time for another Beverage!
7. Wake from long nap only to have wife bitchin cause you haven't done anything all day and your drunk.
8. Don't try to explian. It won't work. I've tried!
* The dreaded footnote: Be careful with the glasses when you remove them from freezer. Frames may be brittle.
* After you recuperate from this long ordeal the lenses will get darker everytime you are in direct sunlight.
Hope This Helps.

I have 2 of them and used them MANY MANY times. You'd be amazed how much old oil you leave in your oil system. I'm talking from 3/4 - 1.5 quarts!! Do the math on that when you have a 3-4 qrt oil bag. YUK!!

Perhaps some more research is in order but I'm not sure one of these would benifit the rocket style oil pan motor. The thing with the harleys is usually the oil bag design. That being said, the twin cam motors like in my Ultra are more like yours... so who knows.

For example... on the evo oil bag style motor. Look at this junk.

Got an email last week indicating that on my next order there will be a price increase. Not bad since the price has not gone up in several years.
So I have a lot of these on hand and there is no urgency here but thought I’d let all previous customers and forum members know.
This is a great system for securing cargo to your motorcycle and many here already use them. At $18.95 there not a wallet breaker either. So if you are interested you can check them out at this link.

i was given some at the Dealer Expo in Indianapolis last year, they are currently in their third set of tires and do work well. But to be honest I run Avon Venoms, and seldom require any weights when mounting them.
