Is anyone going to do anything this weekend ride-wise?

I am, on Sunday. Right now I'm looking at an 11-12 noon departure time. The wife is gone all day so that's my signal to jump on the bike and RIDE.

Dare I suggest the WSL (West Side Loop)? We can head to the Inverness for a beverage, ride some more after that?

I am hoping to ride tomorrow night, but I'll probably stay downriver.

Well, I gotta pass, but in this case it's by choice, because....

I JUST BOUGHT A ROAD KING!

And I need to sell the Sporty. Thus, no more miles and no rides. The last thing I need is to put a dent in the damn thing and lose $500.

I get the RK next week.

Congrats!

I was thinking of riding tomorrow morning for a quick bit but I have a car to work on instead.

Part of it is North Territorial and Huron River Drive, I think. It's a nice ride, not very long, but there's a pub called the Inverness that always has a ton of bikes out front, good burgers and cold beer!

Wish I could but I'm in florida... and with no bike to make it even worse.

That sucks.

When you get back, I'd like to get in touch with you. I have a ton of questions about my FLHR that you can probably answer. One thing is the alarm system. The salesman says you just walk away with the fob and it arms. How far away? Does it only arm if the ignition is locked?

I was able to squeeze an owner's manual out of him, but he drew the line at the service manual. Crap.

You mean the HD key fob alarm?

if so... it arms about 3 seconds after you turn off the ignition. Not sure about how far... i dont have the siren all I can go off is the flashing of the turns. The ignition being locked has nothing to do with the alarm, just it going into the off position.

The service manuals are great. HD really makes a nice one.

Anyone up for a lazy ride this weekend... Sunday?

I missed last weekend... was at State doing some tailgating and checking out the tail there... that I can't touch... but anyway... just throwing it out there.
