Went on a short ride (781 miles) with Matt Wells (hang-around) and a few of his friends. Joe, Rick & Ron. I rode to the Hale area Friday midday and the trailer queens showed up about 5:30. We bought several steaks and other dinner fixins then had our evening meal at the camp.

Got an early start Saturday morning. From Hale south on M65 and then east on M55 to Tawas.

It was US23 north along lake Huron. Following the weather reports, it was going to rain all day, but we were lucky. Just north of the Ocqueoc river we stopped at a friends home. 20 miles short of Cheboygan and we new it was going to get wet. With rain gear on we got our wet asses to a bar in Cheboygan, hoping the rain will pass. What the hell we're wet, lets ride, and we did all the way to Mackinaw City. Got rooms in Mackinaw.

Went to Mackinaw Island for dinner.
Up early (7:00 ??) and off to Cross Village.

Ron has friends with a house about the middle of the tunnel of trees, and we stopped for a few.

in to Traverse City for a drink.
We went back to M72 witch took us across the state with a stop at Ma Deeter's (now open). In Mio it was south on M33 and east from Rose City to the Hale area and the trailer. I left the queens in Hale and rode home. Great ride and great people.

Hale, know it well, have a spot 4 miles north of town off Slosher Trail about a mile back in the woods.
