View Full Version : Took a little ride around the Big Lake

Got some unexpected time off from work, so on rather short notice I joined in on a loop around Lake Superior.
Trip was a little more than 2000 miles. We camped in State and Provincial parks and took a week to make the trip. Weather was nice after the first day riding up to the UP through the rain. The roads and scenery were amazing and different than any place I've been.

Three bikes. My Uly was the closest to a touring bike.

Camped one night on an island off Minnesota. The lady with the Honda rode that for 3 months across South America, mostly by herself. She met us for the island stay.

Nice pix greg!looks like a nice cool ride next to all the water.

By far the hottest days of the year there, but yes when the lake was close (most of the time) it was cool. Camps were all by the lake, so cool with the normal mosquito problems, but no biting flies.

Looks great man. I do love the UP, even though my bike doesn't seem to like it. Or is it mother nature... hmm...

Either way, I hope you enjoyed it.

Since I didn't get to stop at Aerostich on this trip, sportsterpaul and I went to Deluth last weekend.

Really nice gear there and they give 10% off for making the tip.

Stopped at Leggs to earn the sticker that came n my bike.....

Nice lake pic.....

Greg, thanks for sharing the Duluth ride, was an awesome run. Had never been in the western half of the U.P., some great scenery over there. Oh, and really enjoyed Muldoon's "pasties", in Munising.
