Anyone have a stick shift vehicle I could borrow to teach my kid to drive one? He just got a job as a valet and encountered one his first day...................

:lmao: I don't.

Why don't you just go test drive a car from a dealership?

That's a good idea! I think this might be the way to go.

We talked about that, wife wasn't pleased with the idea. My small bike is a bit big for him as a beginner anyway.

When we were teaching my sister how to drive a manual trans car we had the same issue, no car to be had. So what we did,( along the same lines as G suggested) was rented a stick shift from a rental car company for a weekend. Yeah, it cost a little money but we had a full uninterrupted weekend of teaching and learning at her own pace. On a side note, she never really did get it....I think a chimp may have done better.

That's probably an even better idea.

Was looking on craigslist, but a cheap rental might be best. I wouldn't expect to find a stick as a rental.........
