Well, I sold my old clunker pistols and picked up a few new ones. I like the lifetime warranty that is offered with new firearms. I've never been a fan of semi auto but I decided it was time to try them out. Taking the word of my brother and a friend I picked up a SCCY 9mm. For a revolver guy that likes DAO this is an awesome gun. I had a Taurus TCP .380 and wasn't happy with the quality. I had 2 issues with it within a few months, Taurus fixed both of them quickly but I told them I no longer trusted the gun. I asked if I could trade it for a PT111 Millennium 9mm which gets great reviews. They said sure and I now have that. It's not as small and concealable as the TCP but it is an impressive little pistol. Anyhow, no pics, didn't happen. Here they are.

I have to say they are two different animals. The Taurus definitely is easier to shoot and seems put together more solidly. This one will be the stay home gun for my wife and kids and the SCCY will me my everyday carry pistol. It has a 9 pound trigger pull. It shoots great but it's easier for me than it is for them. Trigger pull on the Taurus is 6 pound and its DAO/SA. now my .38 is mine all mine, 11 pound trigger pull. I love that little revolver. Charter Arms hit the nail on the head when they made that gun.

Sounds like you need to do some trigger work. Simple kits can be installed easily at home and vastly improve the fire arm. 9 pound on a semi auto is insane.

Yep...what Lance said!
My Glock 23 Gen 4 came stock with a 5.5 lb trigger pull....I changed it out to a Ghost 3.5 lb trigger pull! trigger is more crisp! I bought the Ghost trigger on Ebay for $17.95 shipped to the house!

The Taurus PT111 is a great value. I have seen the for $199 shipped lately. I am not a huge Taurus fan but for the price it makes a great gun to leave in the car or saddlebag.

One of the reasons I bought the SCCY was because of the trigger pull. There's no safety, the 9lbs is the acting safety. It's what I'm comfortable with.
