Opportunity, I saw that pic and I went, awwww. Then the next one made me chuckle. We all started out somewhere. I started riding in 2000 but my first out of state trip was in 05. I've left the state on 2 wheels every year since. Living in Northern Michigan I feel almost trapped on an island. Water to the north with a ridiculous bridge fee, water 25 miles to the west, water 70 miles to the east and shit to the south. I don't mean to sound like I don't like it, I actually love it. It's just nice to escape and be somewhere else.

Ya unfortunately mine consists of michigan, Ohio and Canada.

Hope to add more soon. Chef, I love the roads up here much better than down state. My only beef is that now I have a 4 hour longer ride than I did before to get out of the state.

Med,
now that you're up here you have to check out M88. It starts on 131 south of charlevoix and runs east through bellaire and mancelona. Nice sweepers and hills. When you reach 31 you can cross it and continue on to just south of Gaylord, again sweepers and hills. Of course in Gaylord you have to go to jays and get ammo. 32 from Gaylord over to Atlanta is fun. 32 is also good running back over to 131 then on to 31. I can do an easy 300 mile day and never be more than 80 miles from home.

Yep I've done that ride already. Good time. I've drovebit in the winter in a white out. Not so much fun haha. If I spend any more time on jays I won't have any cash for gas.
