View Full Version : Fermi II Ride 07JUN2014

Well I got up at 4:37am last Saturday. Geared up and headed to Frenchtown to catch sunrise by Fermi. Turned out to be a perfect morning. Friday I went on Google earth and scouted the area to see where the best spot for pictures would be as close to the stacks as possible. My scouting turned out to pay off big time. My timing was absolutely perfect. Got to a great spot at 5:45am about 13 minutes before sunrise. Got set up and snapped some shots.

Thanks and yes sunset is on the agenda - and much easier. Don't have to get up at 4:30am to capture it. Maybe sunset on a lake or something.

In the second one see the white disc in the upper right side? What the fuck is that? Looks like a UFO especially if you zoom in on it. Definitely not a bird or dust on the lens. Very strange.

We're all gonna die from UFO's

I think so, lol. I sent it to my paranoid conspiracy friend and put the subject of the email as CHECK THIS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is going to be extremely excited. This will give him material to talk about for the next 12 months. By the time he tells the 10th or 11th person I will have been abducted by aliens, anal probed and found naked on type of the silo.

That second to last one is killer.

yeah, I work at Fermi and when I ride to work its always a struggle to make the bike make that turn onto Fermi Dr. The bike wants to just keep goin and enjoy the open road. Except that further south of Fermi and S. Dixie Hwy turns into a road surface comparable to a ride on the Moon. Or perhaps a ride through war torn Lebanon. But bust through to south of Monroe and hit into Ohio and you have a multitude of great roads to cruise down that way.

Even the stretch before fermi is less than smooth. I used to love that ride but since the road conditions suck I stopped riding that way.
