Anyone here ever give any thought to swapping there stock horn for one of those super ass loud aftermarket horns? Been contemplating this for a while and finally ended up installing a 128db horn made by custom dynamics on the bike yesterday.
LOUD is an understatement ! Just a little added security to grasp attention from the texting, eating, phone yapping mofos we share the road with everyday. If the blast of air from these horns don't get a drivers attention, nothing will. I like it!

Very easy install Klimo. Plug and play. Remove your stock horn and the two wires that attach to it. Replace with new horn, plug the two wires back in and run the single wire with the fused relay to the positive on the battery..... Done! Took me longer to get the battery cover off than it did to install the whole unit. 30 minute install more or less.
Pics not so great, but you get an idea. Loud as Hell!

It is the Mini Beast Keith. They have several different styles to choose from. I actually purchased mine from a seller on ebay. The style I have which matches the fins is rather tough to find from what I understand. Don't know why Custom Dynamics doesn't offer the style any longer.

I just checked on this today. These were actually Pro Pad (http://www.thepropad.com/mini-beast-horns/)branded horns that Custom dynamics (http://www.customdynamics.com/mini_beast_motorcycle_horns.htm)bought out. Problem is that they are reducing the line. They are killing off all the XR models, which IMO, are the best models.

I just ordered the XR OFF7 so that it matches my Aggitator wheels.

For a whopping CC killing $220

So moral of the story past the wallet hurt... if you want one of the cool ones, order now before they run out!!

I was looking at them last night...too bad they don't make a XR Straight Fin in black....don't really want the chromie....no biggie...I don't use my horn anyways...

I knew you were going to go with the XR off 7 G. Told Donna you would pick that style horn because it would match your wheels. And there you go.

Well here's what I did have setup. Stock horn under the skull cover.

Here's the new mini beast

I got the XR Off7 as previously stated

Here's the back of it. Hook into the stock wiring then run a positive to the battery off the relay. This is because it pulls some power that the stock wiring can't handle.

Here's with nothing

Here it is installed... it's huge, but what do you expect... wait till you hear it! No online video even comes close to what it sounds like in person. GTFO of my way loud!!

I am a little disappointed that it really is hiding my Gas Man linkage... but it might be a function over form here.

Moe, does you're do this as well?

Anyway I love how loud it is!! WOW. I had a similar horn, the Wolo Bad Boy horn is all it really is, with a fancy cover. It's way loud not being behind a bumper of a car... WOW.

My horns more of an oval shape as opposed to round. Yah, I guess it does sit close to the linkage but I don't mind that. I was going for a more subtle look with the flat black linkage anyway so .
Although your horn being round may run down on to the linkage just a tad bit more than mine. Idk? Take a look at this pic and be the judge.

Yeah you know bud... you'll have to get out in the spring and we can compare!!

Anyway, today I rolled with the horn... I freakin love it! It's my "GTFO of my way" horn!!
