My wife and I were discussing that this weekend... I'm so game at this point, if my road didn't still have like 4 inches of ice I would of ridden this weekend... I love private dirt roads (in the summer).

Isn't every show in Michigan related to bikes pretty horrible?

Only one way to make it all better, Build something and put it in the Show.

Well, if any of you guys do go to the Gibralter Show I hope to meet some of you. Its no big deal but I'm putting one of my restored Aermacchi's in this year. Keep an eye out for the 1975 Aermacchi SX 250 with the Tin Man Fab plate, I'm the handsome old bald guy standing around. (old Bald guy, one of many at the show)

I wouldn't drive 20 miles for this show. Coming all the way from Minnesota , you're gonna be mad enough to punch babies.

Well I'm working on Skippers bike saturday, and have plans on the colder sunday. No way I would go unless I was riding... which I am not... so well... math to be done.

I was setting up at the show today, and yes the show is about 75% Harley Baggers with Giant Front Wheels and LED lights under the tanks, but.... there were many exceptions that showed some very creative ideas and some exceptionally good fabrication skills. One bike in particular stood out, a guy in Chesterfield Twp. hand built a "board tracker"bike that used a 650 Yami engine but the rest of the bike, frame, front suspension, tank, seat and paint was all built by this guy in his garage, one talented guy alone. This does not mean that he bolted on parts and claimed he built a bike, he made it all. I realize that we all have different ideas, but there is something in our Hobby for everyone, It is sad to see the efforts of others denigrated by those with different preferences. Rant Over.

Sorry I missed you guys, I was wandering around visiting folks all day. Did you guys see the Board Tracker I posted about? He won best in show to the tune of $2000. My buddy Randy won $600 for best display, he had the antique garage with the 1929 and 1926 Harleys and the two maniquens in period costumes. I just love the social aspects of seeing old buddy's and there latest creations.

Yes I remember that bike and see that display.... Very nice.... Still do not understand the Street Glides with the 30" front rims, but hey, to each their own....

Big news, there is now a 32 wheel and tire combo out there, all for only $3499.00 !! Now that I think about this a bit more... this may be for defense against the Pot Holes.
