Hey, I just moved to Farmington Hills from the upper peninsula (Houghton, MI) at the beginning of the year and currently work as a development engineer at McLaren. I have a 2004 buell xb12r, a 2003 buell blast (got on trade), and a 2002 modded zx6r street fighter styled. Currently non of my bikes are down here but when spring rolls around that's going to change. I don't know many people in the area and will be looking for some cool people to ride with this summer. Hit me up if your in the area.

Welcome to TWM! Well, you're headed in the right direction. Personally, given this winter so far I wouldn't have stopped until I got to at least Tennessee!

We are not cool, we like warm beer and cold food.... Problem is, we look for it EVERY chance we get on our motorcycles....

Welcome aboard!

I went to Michigan Tech for 2 years.... Partied my way right out of that school...... Never met so many girls that could drink like that in my life.....

Gas man - I just ran across this site when i was just bored online actually, Glad i did though

also sorry about the double post, I thought it didn't post the first time and then after i posted it again i noticed it was a page type format.

Sprink - yea, I defiantly picked a good semester to take off, I believe they are up to 220+ inches of snowfall so far. Not to mention stupid cold temperatures. I think I'm just bringing the xb down, the blast is well, its only a blast and the zx6r needs some finish work before that's gunna hit the road

Big dog - defiantly, I'll be up for riding when the weather gets nicer.

Kilmoman - I know what you mean hah, Its hard to keep school strait when there is nothing to do but drink. I believe tech still drinks twice as much per student as uw madison. The women might be able to drink a lot, but beer goggles only go so far, the tech effect is two nickels make a dime if you catch my drift.

Welcome to the asylum,

We all float down here.

btw, Gas Man is no longer allowed in the UP. he is a deer magnate and if there is one within 500 ft of the roads he will attract it to his bike.

Yea, gotta watch the deer up there. They seem to pop out of no where. I have yet to hit one. "knock on wood"

I did get some pics of my bikes though, my xb12r is my newest baby. its gunna be my go to bike when spring rolls around. The blast i got on trade for a 2003 Polaris predator. The zx6r is my current project bike. I kinda ran out of time to finish all the work i wanted too on it before i left school for the next 2 semesters and i just threw a rear end on it to ride it before i put up for winter. It needs quite a bit of work still but i made it street legal enough to ride, not very comfy though. I plan on putting a turned up rear fender and fiberglassing everything over to make a nice smooth surface, just haven't gotten there yet. It is one wicked bike though. fast as all hell.

I know what you mean, me too :P

It has a hawk exhaust, dobeck tuner, k&n air filter, and all the common mods like breather mod done. The only flaw is one broken bolt that holds on the air box cover. It rumbles to say the least. I almost felt bad when i bought it. I picked that up 3 weeks ago now, the poor guy was getting a divorce and had to sell it. Its a 2004 with 7412 miles on it. I paid $2400.

2004 7400 miles he deserved to give it away if you aint gonna ride let someone else chit I cant ride my bike to work and still managed over 13000 last year. that's almost double what he had a decade with.:hss:

I plan too! i dont plan on ever getting rid of that bike. He was still riding it but just around town when the weather was nice enough. He had to sell due to his divorce, and He only had one friend that rode and he had an early buell cyclone i believe that vibrated like a mother and couldnt go long without stopping. This guy owned it for 3 years and put on 4000 miles, before that some 50+ year old guy was having a midlife crisis and bought it new from the show room and only drove it 3,000 miles over 6-7 years, the title i received proved it with odometer readings and date of purchase.
