More power requires a better clutch (if it was a stick) or in my case a better torque converter. This sick as hell TCI unit has a 3,000 stall and should do the trick, per my cam specs.... (cam will be posted when it arrives this week)

GasMan, youíre working too hard at having a hot rod & a truck. I have just the thing for you.
2006 Dodge SRT 10 pickup truck, only 17000 miles and every option except navigation. Itís faster than your Mustang will be and can haul stuff in the bed. The best of both worlds, with only 1 insurance payment, 1 gas bill, and takes 1 parking space. Inexpensive at $29,000.
Beat that

Also, my stang will get ten times more looks. IMHO

Your stang might actually have done pretty well against a stock M5 - yes, the thing made about 425 HP but they are pretty heavy.

Just checked the specs, an 02M5 is about 1200 lbs heavier than your 90 stang.

Yeah and I'd have the same power... the key in these old fox body's is that they are decently light.

I like Jim's idea. The SRT 10 Dodge Ram would smoke that "Stang" and I think you would be surprised at the looks you would get with the Ram. Besides, I would much rather get fewer looks and have that truck be a complete sleeper and then turn heads while I'm roasting some poor oval driving individual who thought he would smoke everything on the street. Those are the looks that are much more valuable and worthwhile.

I enjoy giving gastank shit as much as the rest of you. The srt truck is a mid 13 second truck on its best day. A bone stock 5.0 with a shitty driver (I.e. gas) will dip into the low 13's. A good friend had an srt 10 and the truck was no fun to drive and sucked fuel. Now a super charged lightning that's a fun truck.

BBK caster camber plates for the front struts

*I will need to order the push rods... but otherwise all done.

Oh well, I also need to buy a new rack n pinion, because mine leaks... but that's a local purchase. Another reason why I'm doing the caster camber plates. These Stangs don't realy have caster camber adjustment in the front. So if I'm going to pay for another alignment, I might as well get a perfect alignment, these plates will do just that.

The day is getting close... I'm thinking I'm going to pull the motor on 4th of July weekend. We shall see.

Otherwise, I got this new PA street/strip trans valve body. The car is a 4 speed (AOD) with a 3 speed gear selector. They offer 2 different valve bodies.

AOD HOLD body - replaces the D position in the shifter for gear 2. This was when drag racing you start in 1, go to 2, then hit OD for 3rd (you won't hit 4th).
Street/strip body - still have 1 for 1, D is 2-3 gears, OD for over drive. You still can't "hold" it in 2nd, so you have to "trick" it. But with this valve body the gears don't slide together (bad for the trans anyway) they just go from gear to gear with crisp shifts and better power delivery.

Tricking is...Race out 1st, go to D for 2nd, put it back in 1st (it won't down shift due to speed and throttle) to hold out 2nd gear, then put in D for 3rd.

Anyway, here it is...
