View Full Version : Enclosed Trailer

I am starting to look around at enclosed trailers. I want to get something nice but nothing extravagant. More functional than looks. Maybe like a 2-3 bike trailer that I can also haul a snow mobile around in and take camping or use for general purpose. Any recommendations? I am probably looking to buy around Spring time.

Thanks. Any idea what size fits 2-3 bikes? Like their first model is a 6 x 12. Is that a single bike trailer?

How much coin you willing to drop big daddy.

BTW, on a unrelated note, judging by your FB posts you might be father of the year, good on ya Paul.

lol, I do what I can. I applied for father of the decade because I have a new kid on the way due March 28, 2014. Motherfuckers like me don't know when to quit.

I am in the $3,000-$10,000 range including the condor fucking no straps required ride the motherfucking bike onto the trailer and it locks it fucking self in done deal fucking no more compressed shocks or broken clip ons shit. If I could find a link I would post it but all the big shot motherfuckers with race bikes use the system. When the bike goes onto the trailer it clicks in and holds it in place. I fucking hate straps and sick of fucking around with them. Fuck gas mileage I want enclosed for a variety of purposes including I could throw a fucking mattress in the motherfucker and sleep in it if I felt froggy.

3 to 10 K...wtf, that's a pretty wide margin, you remind me of these gomers coming in to buy cars, looking at Caddys and wantin a $200 payment. So you really want to spend 5 to 7 right?
I hear ya on the straps they do get old.

I want to get a good deal but I also want to get a nice trailer and hassle free loading / securing, etc. Yeah so 5-7 range is probably about right. If an umbrella comes with it then I could go $10k.

Mud...there are so many options that you can consider....like a 7x14 should fit 2-3 bikes or look into different lengths and widths....tandem axle is the way to go...
but like for snowmobiles...when I had my sled...we had a V-nose all aluminum...ride on ...ride off the front of the trailer....V-nose trailers cut the wind better when pulling...

Mudpuppy

The v-nose have the front ramp for riding off then, eh? I might want to go that route. I end up pulling sleds out of the snow enough and it is a pain in the ass would rather not have to man handle it off the trailer. I am just looking for ideas / suggestions at this point.

yeah...the one side of the v-nose opens up and you ride off the front...hold on a sec and let me see if I can find a pic or linky for ya

Yes I was going to look used as well. No sense in spending extra coin on new. That trailer in the link looks good.

Don't know what year this is but it looks like a winner. Tandem axle ,ramp and side door, low pro..........good find. I'd jump all over this for the price Mud. Talk him down 5-6 bills.

Yes good find - thanks Phil. Problem is I am not cash ready to jump on anything. I want to buy something in spring. I have a couple of places to store a trailer but would be better to drive it around after the thaw than to be driving a trailer all over God's green earth in this icy shit.

Only issue with lows is head room. Can't stand up in them.

You got a sick Uncle leaving you some cash bro? New bike..trailer..4wheel fun machine..I should treat you better. Seriously that's a hell of a trailer and with AC and heat, you could fab a little bunk bed in there.

No motherfucker I gambled the rent money at the casino and lost - but as soon as I get paid again I am going back and taking what's mine. No shit and for $3,900 that is a steal.

That side door is too far forward. It kinda kills the front storage area, unless that don't matter to you.

Im looking to upgrade from my 6x12 but holding out for a wrecked one in the 30 foot range.

Holy shit that one is really nice. But also $2,000 more and I am sure he won't negotiate much on the price since it is so nice. The other one for $3,900 is prime to knock down the price a bit. I really don't see the need for an ac/heater - my original plan was buy a big ass fan for summer time to run off the generator. Just open the doors and you get good cross breeze, plus fan, plus shade. Usually works well.

It's great to see what is around out there. This last one even at a few more bucks definitely interests me. It is well worth the $5,500.

This one http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/mcy/4263356010.html is STILL available and it does look nice from the one side. I'll bet $2700 cash in hand takes it.

Nice - 2 full size baggers = 4 sportbikes easy. Thanks for the lead, eh.
