Well, it aint winter yet, but I'm taking a lazy Friday today (only a couple of calls for work <puke>), so I decided to finish the "no antenna" look.

I've replaced the head unit already, which means no more CB, so I've deleted that already.

This afternoon, I tucked the shorty AM/FM radio antenna under the chrome fender support plate cover. Got the idea from HDForums.

Then I used vacuum caps to cover the exposed threads on my tour pack.

I've not noticed any difference in reception so far, will do some road testing tomorrow.

I hate those damn things. And reflectors. :)

What is the source of your uneasiness, Grasshopper?

How much you see, and functionality.

Ive seen this before. Can even be done with the long antennas.

Rest assured, you see much less this way (none), and no loss of functionality.

I don't know, Kosher. I don't have the invisible tour pack mod. I know those hang-arounds at the GMG keep talking it up, but I use my pack almost everytime I ride the Ultra. I don't know how much I'd ride with it removed.

Mine is detachable, and I had every intention of removing it for around town. Dave is making fun of the fact that I actually have the detach kit, but my tour pak is never off.

I took so many trips last year, and now the kids want to be on it so all the on/off is more of a hassle than I anticipated. And like you I appreciate all the easy access storage.

Hell, I've had my outer fairing off more than my tour pak!

You've had your outer fairing off more than anybody.

Did this at the beginning of the season.... primarily use the ipod, but if I wanted to catch a college football game, I wanted to be able to... reception for me was greatly suffered... my experience....

I think Kosher reports no affect on FM but AM is junk.

Yeah, I thought I posted that here - yes, AM is completely gone, FM I think is better but certainly no worse.
