Hey there fellas, I've been real into cars for a while now and have been recently looking to get myself up on a bike. My dad used to work for Harley off Zeeb Rd for a while and owned a sportster for a bit til he got hit by some dude in a neon :(

I myself have been looking for a good starter bike for pretty cheap, I'm not to interested in a Harley at the moment but am definitely interested in a Crotchrocket of some type. I've really been liking what I've been hearing or seeing out of the Honda CBR's as starter bikes. I'm a bigger guy so i'd definitely be wanting a 600 to start with. If anyone finds anything like 1500 or less let me know.
Hopefully I'll be joining you all riding soon enough.

Just stay on craigslist... you will find it there if anywhere else.

Look for an F3... at that price, you may be able to find one.

I'd go for $2500-3k, and you would be able to sell for what you paid for it. My last bike, I actually made $200... so look for a bargain, buy what fits you, not what you think you NEED at the moment...

Happy shopping and hang out on the site. There are people that know what they are talking about here.

I am pretty sure he'll take $2800...

Welcome to the site man, I'll tell ya, it's actually getting harder to find a cheap bike, as everyone seems to be buying em up! Funny, I don't see THAT many more on the road, so where the heck are they all goin??? Good luck in your search.

Not new ones on the road, but used ones are changing hands constantly...

I see many bikes on the road... It will be interesting to see where things go with all these high MPG cars that are coming out.

I have to say that new Milan with the 41MPG rating is looking really good. My 400CC DRZ gives me about 55-60MPG after break in and if I don't flog it...

The VTX, MAYBE 41-43 MPG.... so I think a nice comfty Milan sounds like a good move if you look for cheap and with the cold here.

Welcome aboard, Total Power Sports in Gaylord Mi. has a 2002 Kawasaki Ninja 600 for $2,500 that if I remember correctly has about 7,000 miles on it. It's black and looks to be in good shape. If memory serves me correctly it needs tires.
