Hey, I don't normally post up for my shop here, I know it's a motorcycle forum, and I try to keep my business stuff separate from personal stuff like this forum.

But.....I am stoked. So I'm posting it up here, not as an advertisement, but just so you guys can see what's happening here in the D.

We've not had any American Made bikes in the shops in years. It's been tough, most everything has been done overseas or if you really want USA made you'd spend over $3000, which is a lot of cabbage in the bicycle business.

Now that's changed. We have a new local bike building company called Detroit Bikes. They are producing the frames, forks, wheels, chainguards, and rear racks right here in the MOTOR CITY!!! WOOT!!!

I just got a few of em in at both shops. Serial numbers are all under 100! These babies are sweet! Check it out:

You can also go to Detroit bikes website by clicking here (http://www.detroitbikes.com). Or hit my website up by clicking here (http://www.petribikes.com).

Rock On!

I need to step up and start riding a bike, even my doctor told me. My girlfriend is even pushing the subject. Do they make a Jameson holder for them?

I've seen the Shinola bikes. They are assembled here, but I think they are actually made in Wisconsin aren't they? Anyway, it's good to see some Motor City manufacturing again.

By the way, got the bikes in at the end of the day yesterday, and I'm already getting phone calls on em, and sold one this afternoon. That's how they roll in the D. Lol

I'm sure we can mod something up to do the job, Al. Like Cris says, custom don't bolt on. :)

Just went and checked one of these out at the lincoln park store killin time while at work. They are very nice. Didnt know there were like ten al petri's though. I asked for Al and got asked which one haha.

Going to have to consider one of these especially for next spring/summer. Got my partner at work wanting one too.

Haha! You got my dad Lance. He's on the verge of retirement. I'm the last Al standing! No sons in the business, and didn't name them Al anyway. My daughter runs the Woodhaven shop. I bounce back and forth between the two stores.

I didn't talk to your dad I talked with a younger guy at the store. Very nice and knowledgable.

Bearded guy would have been John. Non-bearded guy would have been Joe. Both guys are pretty knowledgable. Glad you stopped in and checked it out in any case.

How's the bike riding (the Harley) since you got it back? They do a good job on it?
