Just got my bill from progressive.

My bike is less than a year old. I think this is called "complete replacement" but if they total my bike, I get a completely new one regardless of year (so next year, if I total, I would get a new '14, not the used replacement value of my 13), about $3K in P&A, roadside assistance, etc. I have a perfect driving record, and I've made no claims on my bike.

$815.

Gas, do you have progressive? I think mine when up after your accident, LOL.

I have auto owners, house, 2 cars, 2 bikes. 1996 Electra Glide Classic (10,000 value) and 2011 Road Glide Ultra (replacement) the 2 bikes cost me $725.oo every 6 months. Everything together is $1700.oo for 6 months.

Ok, so maybe I'm not so far off, because my 1 bike costs $815/year.

Actually just paid the bill, you get a $68 discount for paying in full for the year, so $747

Which includes a $175 "MCCA surcharge" of $175. :fu2:

I may look at Progressive, as they could save me a fair amount on the motorcycles. Thanks

I have Progressive here in NY and I pay $369 per year with $300/$500K limits and a $500 deductible. Wonder why you guys pay so much more?????? Just renewed mine last month.

What year is your bike? Mine is less than a year old. Also, you'd need to tack on a $175 MCCA fee which is coverage only required in the state of Michigan, to compare.

He's got 2 bikes. Gas, you should look at suspending the insurance on the Glide while you're not riding it, might save a few nickles.

Hey Mud - I'm really curious to know what you sport bike riders with death wishes pay. 'Course the bikes are less expensive.... <ducking...>

sorry I don't have the exact specifics - but I will tomorrow when I find the god damn bill. I am actually looking at a new company (another underwriter) who saved my Dad $1,300 a year on his insurance (and was cheaper than mine - he shopped mine too). I know I know underwriters use the same companies blah blah insert gasman gibberish here blah but I personally don't like paying full price. Markus can't help me with motorcycle insurance so I am going to see if this new company that my boss recommended can. So I will post up all the specifics so gasman doesn't get his full price + a premium panties in a bunch.

Not going to do that... this way I can ride it when I want. I rarely do that....

I think Kosher means while it's in 'rebuild mode'. Can't ride it anyway.

do you fuckers not pay attention - gasman doesn't "save" money - he wipes his ass with 100s. if I was moderator I'd change his name to Premium Plus

Hey... now... what my agent says to do so that you stay covered fully... is just ramp up your deductables to the sky which will lower your rate... then when riding season is back lower them back.
