As most of you may already know my Uncle Geoff Brown was in a motorcycle accident and lost his life. He had touched the lives of many people.
Some of his friends helped get the ride for Fisher House dedicated in his name So September 21 will be this ride. Please attend if you can. Make the time it's an important we can even win the largest group prize if show up in our true numbers.

Addition by Gas Man for TWM ride details:

Ok Cave...

Gents... The TWM crew can meet up at 1030 and kickstands up at 1100 at the Citgo 7-11 at Telegraph & Eureka (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=7-Eleven&hl=en&cid=5601235421674567895&gl=US&t=m&z=16&iwloc=A).
14850 Telegraph Rd, Taylor, MI ‎

Easy access about 5 miles south of 94 on Telegraph or about 3 miles west of I-75 on Eureka. This is also about an 1/8 mile south of biker bobs HD.

Then it's a quick jaunt down eureka to A&M back towards 275.

Please remember it's a $20 per rider or $25 per couple to go towards the Fisher House (http://www.fisherhouse.org/)charity. It's a great charity that supports our military people and their families, that at this point, have given so much.

Being a poker run, our group will stick together and do the ride probably by ourselves, unless we pick up some others once they find out how cool we are!!

If you have other plans, cancel them, come out with us for this event!!

That will be superb Mud.

Thanks to all that will be attending. This does mean a lot to me and my family to make it a success. Would be cool if we could be the largest group there. But I'm sure some MC will take that challenge.

I will be on a ride down South starting in Nashville then do Natchez Trace, then to the Duck Commander warehouse and home. Sorry I will miss this but if you need any help I would be glad to. I could stop down and pick up some flyers and put around, also I will post on our Masonic riders FB page as most are Veterans.

Okay people, I want to hear more "I'm ins" and less "sorry can't do's". :lmao: JK, but on a serious note this is for a great cause and it will change from year to year. Geoff wanted to get his union involved in supporting the troops and thier families as much as possible. This is a great way to raise funds for those that have made sacrifice for their civic service duty. It's also a great way to get our name out there. I, personally, think it would be awesome if we started having a group attendance to these events or similar to have a TWM flag flyin on a parade of cycles that would make the local MC's green with envy. We may not roll with a cut and patch but our banner will fly strong and our numbers will speak volumes.
Lets get our schedules lined up and make this work.
Thanks, guys and gals.

Flag... huh.... I like the idea... anybody got a place to get custom flags??

Caveman
08-24-2013, 04:41 AM
Custom flags aren't too hard to make if you can get to a custom T shirt place. or anywhere they do silkscreening.

Moesride

I'm in for this Sean, good cause and memorial.
.......flags a good idea. Although I'd like to see some twm T-shirts , in black of coarse. Why don't we start taking up a collection from the "gang bangers" here for the T's and lets get this Rollin. Just a thought!

Well my bike is back together, the wrist is feeling better... so let's set this up.

Registration is at 11am.

Where and when are we meeting??????? Being a poker run, I want the TWM group to roll together....

Caveman... we need your input!!

Caveman
09-16-2013, 11:51 PM
Well, I will be probably getting there quite early that day. Mark & Robyn would like me to be there to help setup between 8:30 and 9:00. All who would like to come to donate some time will get fed if you aren't riding, and all are welcome to come and help out. For those that aren't going to volunteer (by no means is that a problem) a meet up time at AM Leather would be nice somewhere between 10:30 and 11:00 as registration starts at 11. Last bike out the lot on the run leaves by 1300, so if you want to get there later thats cool, too. Just thought a concerted TWM showing would be pretty cool.

Gas Man
09-17-2013, 12:01 PM
We could but registation doesn't open till 11 and there is only 5 mins if we hit lights between that gas station and A&M leather.

How about meet at 1030 and leave at 1100 from gas station, get all registered and then head out for the poker run.

Thank you, Mud for making time on your busy day. I know how life can get so effing hectic that you don't know which way your goin till you arrive. :lol

Lance, an appearance in the rig would actually be pretty cool.

I will be getting there in the early morning between 8:30-9:00. So, if anyone wants to come and help, you are more than welcome. Also the event doesn't just end with the poker run, there will be a band and food there after the ride as well. So, whether you there for just the run, there just to show support if you dont ride, or your there to help close the place down, any appearance will be appreciated.

Much love and respect to all, hope to see you there.

Well I got the bike out for this ride... it's first ride after the deer incident.

Setting up the tent was a task with no pre-drilled holes in the black top for the giant tent stakes.
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Riding/2013%20Geoff%20Brown%20Ride/IMG_4624_zps849837ff.jpg (http://s99.photobucket.com/user/cjclark69/media/Riding/2013%20Geoff%20Brown%20Ride/IMG_4624_zps849837ff.jpg.html)

But it got done and the tables and chairs got setup
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Riding/2013%20Geoff%20Brown%20Ride/IMG_4625_zpsea051cec.jpg (http://s99.photobucket.com/user/cjclark69/media/Riding/2013%20Geoff%20Brown%20Ride/IMG_4625_zpsea051cec.jpg.html)

Continued setup of the event.

Setting up the food line
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Riding/2013%20Geoff%20Brown%20Ride/IMG_4627_zpsb2ee5b36.jpg (http://s99.photobucket.com/user/cjclark69/media/Riding/2013%20Geoff%20Brown%20Ride/IMG_4627_zpsb2ee5b36.jpg.html)

And after about 2.5 hours we were all setup.
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Riding/2013%20Geoff%20Brown%20Ride/IMG_4628_zps4b1813d4.jpg (http://s99.photobucket.com/user/cjclark69/media/Riding/2013%20Geoff%20Brown%20Ride/IMG_4628_zps4b1813d4.jpg.html)

The event started off well and that was the only dark cloud the entire day.

It was a great ride and such a tribute to a great man that impacted so many. I was happy to not only ride on it but also to help setup as one person in the big staff. My hat is off to Mark & Robin who did an unmeasurable amount of work to set it up.

THANK YOU to the guys that came and participated. My heart aches seeing Cave and his family go through this and I'm so glad to have known all of you for helping make it a success. The fact that we were able to raise money for such a great cause is what sends this over the top. WOW!

Great to see and hang with you guys (I'd say gents but we all know the fucking truth here). Great time. Sorry for the circumstances that brought it together.

What we learned on Saturday:

1. Gasman is about as good of a weatherman as he is a deer hunter
2. Gasman likes pickles
3. There are a lot of pirates out there - be careful, especially of the pickle pirates near the Raisin River

Valuable lessons. All have assisted me in riding safer and improved my riding enjoyment.

I would like to say thanks to all my TWM crew for showin up. We had a total of 82 bikes but not sure of the rider passenger total. The local will be cutting a check for about $2500. There was $1230 from the rider registration and Geoff's lifelong friends family donated a $1300 check.
Thanks to Gas Man for his help in setting up. Btw Gas, tear down was like a third of the setup time. The tent practically fell down.
The coins will be mailed out if you were one of the first 100 registered.
It was great to see you guys. If you couldn't tell from my wife and I at the memorial site, it really hit me hard and my wife as well from how bad it hurt me. She didn't really get to know Geoff that well but she did love him. He was so loved by so many, Geoff was really involved with so many great things and was so influential to so many people.

So I got my coin last week from this ride. Im gonna make a small wooden holder for it whenever this weather breaks and I can get out to my workshop,If anyone else wants one let me know,no charge, except maybe postage or somethin

I got an envelope on Saturday, with a nice card thanking me and it said "enclosed is your coin", but... no coin. I'm not concerned about the coin, I was glad to support a good cause and a fine human.

It was taped up fine, I think someone just forgot to put it in the envelope.

Kosher, I will talk to Robyn and see what I can do about getting that remedied.

Leebo, I would like to take a look at your case option. I will pay for materials at the least, and craftsmanship as well. I picked up the orders for my wife and I as well as Denimblack's as his was a sort of late entry. I will got that to him when our schedules can permit.

Ran into Mark and Robyn yesterday. We got to talking about Geoff and she asked me if I received his memorial coin. Told her I didn't and it was no big deal, just glad to have been part of it....Long story short, she has left over coins. She's dropping one in the mail for me on Monday.
Keith, if you didn't get one yet, hit her up. I think she would be more than happy to get one to you.

I'm sorry fellas. I have been remiss on this issue. I have been a bit preoccupied with work and the refuel outage here at work. I was gonna get a list of names together that didn't get their coins and speak with Robyn to see what I could do. I will gather the names from the this post and send her a message tomorrow morning.

My fault I dropped the ball. I will try to rectify this situation.
