Caveman and I are heading south to Columbus on Wednesday to check out a new ride. Might have to change my handle on here from SuperGlide to ElectraGlide! Lol.

I'll be riding it home if there are no issues with it. It's supposed to be like new. 2010 with premium sound, ABS & the security package. The guy is throwing in the touring cover, the intercom stuff I need, etc. Only 11,000 miles. Barely broke in!

Not a big fan of the spoked wheels, but GasMan says he can hook me up with some mags! :whatwhat:

No doubt. It has it already. That's something the SuperGlide doesn't have, and I am looking forward to pushing that button!

I'd love to keep the Glide, but I don't think it's in the cards. It's a great bike, rides so smooth, handles awesome. I'm trying to talk the wife into taking the riders class and using this as her ride. So far, all I can say is wish me luck on that.

Hey, the way I have it figured, if you live in Brownstown and are on TWM, it's like a requirement to own an Ultra.

Nice looking bike Al. You will want to ride every day, allday. The only issue I see is the black color. Itís a bitch to keep clean andride too. Iím guessing, by the time you ride that home from Columbus, Youíllstart weekday rides along with the Saturday AM ride. If you give me a day or twonotice, we can ride on a week day or three.

I gotta work sometime Jim, but I might be able to squeeze in some weekdays in the fall. Things slow down a little at the shop then.

OK - leaving now. I told Caveman he has full veto power. He sees something that he doesn't like, he can kill the deal. We'll see in a few hours if I'm still SuperGlide or Ultra Al.

Ok Jeopardy fans. Ultra Al is Home! The bike is in the driveway. Caveman did me right, drove me down to Columbus in his truck, helped me check out the scoot, and I followed him back out of Ohio to Two Wheel Michigan!

Here are some pics for you to scope out. First one - me at the dealership picking it up. It was a pass-through deal. Private owner sold it, through Harley dealer, to me. Went very smooth:

http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr215/chboxer/Harley/2010%20Ultra/11NewOwner.jpg (http://s485.photobucket.com/user/chboxer/media/Harley/2010%20Ultra/11NewOwner.jpg.html)

This is the mileage on it when I got home. It was about 180 miles from their door to mine if you wanna do the math:

http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr215/chboxer/Harley/2010%20Ultra/10Speedo.jpg (http://s485.photobucket.com/user/chboxer/media/Harley/2010%20Ultra/10Speedo.jpg.html)

Here she is in her new driveway:

http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr215/chboxer/Harley/2010%20Ultra/082010Ultra.jpg (http://s485.photobucket.com/user/chboxer/media/Harley/2010%20Ultra/082010Ultra.jpg.html)

A little front fender for you to check out:

http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr215/chboxer/Harley/2010%20Ultra/06Fender.jpg (http://s485.photobucket.com/user/chboxer/media/Harley/2010%20Ultra/06Fender.jpg.html)

The backside view. Couple of little LED's he put under the tour box. Don't know about that...:

http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr215/chboxer/Harley/2010%20Ultra/05TourPack.jpg (http://s485.photobucket.com/user/chboxer/media/Harley/2010%20Ultra/05TourPack.jpg.html)

And the 'dashcam' view:

http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr215/chboxer/Harley/2010%20Ultra/04Inner.jpg (http://s485.photobucket.com/user/chboxer/media/Harley/2010%20Ultra/04Inner.jpg.html)

The ride back up US 23 then I-75 was great. The SuperGlide doesn't even compare in handling on the highway. This thing runs like a dream!

Thanks again Caveman for the ride. The conversation while we went down. And the help in checking her out. I 'preciate it brother!

:rockwoot:Rock on! :rockwoot:

keep it away from deer.

That is the plan Mud. It already has one of those cheesy black air deer sirens on it. I think I might do the GasMan thing and go with the real one instead.

Was a nice lookin scoot, had all the right checks for a low mileage tourer. Tight drive belt, brakes actuated properly, clutch was nice and smooth had consistent friction zone, no leaking fluids, tires were great, only some minor cosmetic issues. The only thing I didn't like were those little LEDs on tour pack, but its meh. Simple to eliminate if needed.
Over all she looked solid and ready for "Ultra Al" to take ownership. Hate those damn sales financial peeps, always pushin every warranty, GAP ins, and bs crap they can. Only thing worth it was the tire protection thing.
Im sure Ultra Al will be happy for quite some time. He sure looked like a little kid on a shines new scooter on the way home.
And now......the modding will begin......:rockwoot:rock on Ultra Al

Hey - I have a SuperGlide for sale Dag.... Just sayin...

I have to build a shed/pole barn for storage or id think about it. Might build it in the fall, but probably going to have to hold out till next spring. I love my house but i only have a 1 car garage. With all the kids bikes/snowblower/tools/etc. the sporty barely fits in there as it is. Ultimately what i would like to do is use the sportster as my around town/bike night ride and pick up something bigger for longer trips. Plus i have to sell my wife on the idea of a 2nd bike....that one might not be that easy. lol

I don't know - I'm a little stubby on the legs, so I might need to get a saddle that lowers me a little. Or lower the bike. Grips. Maybe do the SG type mirrors at some point. Chris has some mags I might replace the spoked wheels with. I need the Brukus kickShoe. Hmmm..... what else? I do have the smooth fuel door lid coming, and Cave is telling me I need to change the latches & hinges on the tourpack and saddlebags.

stage 1
Daymaker Led headlamp and spot lamps
spot lamp auxiliary plug...so you can switch your spot lamps on or off...and they will always stay on if you have on your brights or lows
