Hey, I sell bicycles for a living. That thing isn't worth half what they are asking. Steel frame. $20 front brake. It's just about re-living your childhood.

So you have a bike from Fisher made prior to the Trek buy out in 1993?
Or is it before Gary actually sold out himself to Anlen in 1991?

I used to sell Fishers back in the day. Met Gary a few times. Very eccentric dude. He was basically broke when Trek bought the brand from Anlen, and made Gary the figurehead. They needed his presence to give the brand authenticity. And it worked. He kind of became a bicycle rock star within the industry. Now the brand is just a Trek afterthought. In fact it's not really a brand anymore, but a series of models within the actual Trek lineup. Sad.
