Hey guys, I've been looking into buying a Drift Camera for while now for when i ride. I decided to go find and buy a used one (pretty cheap on Ebay), but the problem i ran into is some of the cameras on Ebay don't have the remote controls for them... Does anyone know if i NEED the remote control to use the camera or is there controls on the camera itself? I know its kind of a silly question, but i want to make sure before i go and buy it.

Also does anyone have any experience of a Drift Camera? Pros and cons?

Figured if I did get this I could start recording the Saturday Early Bird Ride and the TWC Sunday ride! :D:moto::kawi:

No experience with Drift but lots of experience with GoPro. My recommendation is stick with the best and get a gopro.

I think most people that don't get the go-pro regret it. There are just more aftermarket for the GP vs the others.

Let me know how it works out, I've been pondering getting a cam, but the GoPro despite it's reputation, is too far out of my budget for something I won't use that often

Can get a 720p one here for $49 with free shipping - 720 is all you need - 1080 takes up WAY too much memory and takes forever to process unless you have a mac or a super octocore pc: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Drift+Innovation+-+HD720+Action+Camera+HD+Flash+Memory+Camcorder+-+Black/6916507.p?id=1218813791100&skuId=6916507&ref=06&lo%20c=01&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=6916507&extensionType=%20{adtype}:{network}&s_kwcid=PTC!pla!{keyword}!{matc%20htype}!{adwords_ producttargetid}!{network}!{ifmobi%20le:M}!{creati ve}&kpid=6916507&k_clickid=7e33ec4d-24d9-d689-e37b-000039c8bf71#BVRRWidgetID

Very limited mounting options with this camera though. And no real data on weather proof? Will it kill the camera if I get caught in a rain storm? GoPro is tested and true - been in tsunami like rains and it never hurt it. Took it to the waterpark and the lake under water and it works perfect. No weather issues. And I dropped it at 100mph on the bike and it skipped across the concrete - no issues. Dropped it again on a main road at 45mph, it got hit by a car and it still works. Ran over it with my bike - SURVEY SAYS - still works. Infuckingdestructible. You can try the rest but I can guarantee nothing even comes close to gopro.
