If I were in the market for a big twin, I'd give these bikes some serious consideration. They are priced right and look uber-retro, so they should give Harley-Davidson some competition in that sector of the market. My favorite thing about them is how they showcase the engine. It's a piece of artwork and they do a fantastic job of showing it off.

I dig that there is some new touring blood out there, perhaps it will force HD to make some updates to appearance. I like the general shape of the fairing but the chrome piece around the headlight needs to go, just too much stuff goin on on the front of the fairing. But I do like the molded in passing lamp buckets, pretty cool new concept. Needs to have some sort of tourpack though. Even if its detachable.

Man, I dig them...long & low.

I'd ride the shit out of the Classic & Vintage. Chieftain might take some getting used to...

It's in the correct Section

Anyway I like em and think they will do well.

I love how on the Chieftain has the "Phone" hook ups or BLUETOOTH connection capability. That is AWESOME. Also the ability to control said connected device from the hand grip controls. HD doesn't do that and they really need to start doin that shit soon. They are getting left behind in the tech field of the house. There are after market mods that will assist in making similar functions work but it should be a stock engineered item. Making said comforts more of a convenience rather than another link in the chain of electronics on the bike to go wrong.

Personally I think they blew it. I saw them in Sturgis today.

The fairing on that thing is right out of the Victory design book. AWFUL.

They all have design elements that are evocative of Indians, but they all have aspects that scream Victory.

No thank you.

I've only seen the videos along with a few pictures, but I'll have to agree with Kosher. I thought I was looking at Indian inspired Victory motorcycles.

Now that's an Indian!!!

I actually saw one rolling today near Sturgis. Its not a bad looking bike. I think the notion that these bikes will send Harley scrambling is a bit over blown. Not everybody likes the Indian-like styling.

But a finite number of bikes will be sold, and they will sell quite a few of these.

I truly believe the Chieftain is an abomination, tho, the fairing is just shockingly bad.

Way to much Polaris in them to be a real Indian. The last real Indian was built in 1953. I know they want Harley guys to buy them, but I think most will be Victory riders. Polaris has the capital from all the other things they make like 4 wheelers so they can spread the $ around. Harley Davidson builds bikes only, making them a real bike builder, but with a much more limited income. As for looks, I do like how they show off the motor as to Harley kind of covers there motors up with the tank. The big fenders was ok back in the 40 and 50's but looks out of place now. The faring looks like it had sex with a Victory, ugly.

Yeah I hear everybody talking about how they will take a chunk away from HD, and I'm sure they will, but they aren't going to kill or hugely hurt HD. To each their own, I do like the variety.

I'd ride one of the dirt simple classics (provided I can get one with out that key fob/punch code ignition). Though I'd repaint it in my hockey team's colours just to be whimsical (Go Hawks!).

Though I deffinitly agree and echo the sentiment that the Vic style bleeds into them too much. The Chieftain, I wouldn't buy one, and if i won one, I'd either sell it or give to my dad for a commuter bike.

They aren't going to take a chunk out of HD, but maybe a modest nibble. I can see them being bought up by current Vic owners or maybe technophile bent riders that like retro style (I'm not sure what other bikes are out there that have that level of connectivity for BT devices).
