Looking for recommendations for a cell phone mount and a way to charge it while I'm riding (so I can use my phone's gps feature)

I love my ram x-grip mount. As far as charger it depends on what phone you have and how you want to do it. The way i see it you have two options.

First is putting a 12v power port somewhere on the bike that way you can use anycar charger for any device you want.

The second is if your only using your phone then you can wire it from the battery and run it to right by your mount and just plug it in.

Locally you're just going to get some junk, unless you hit up a HD dealer or something. Plus most auto stuff isn't going to be designed to be outdoors and waterproof.

Check out http://www.powerlet.com/ They are in warren.

Even Kury has some stuff

I have the Xmount AND the Kuryakan USB power point. IMHO, I think Powerlet is too expensive if your just tryin to power you phone/GPS via USB. If your using it to run power your cold weather gear that would be a good investment.

Oh ya lot of guys on the Raider forum are using the SAE to USB adapter. To charge thier phones. SAE is the same tap that comes from the battery to connect up your trickle charger for winter.
