I've had my a/c going on and off for many weeks now. As soon as it went to 75 outside and there wasn't enough wind to cool the house. It goes on. I hate being hot when I sleep and I like covers.

I'm a cheap bastard and dont really run the air at all during the summer. I just hang out in the basement or get out on the bike.

Yup, I don't open my windows. If it cools off that's fine. The a/c won't run much anyway. I set the stat and leave it in the cool position and let it do its thing.. In the fall its set to heat and left alone. I'm a heating and cooling service tech and I will repair 10-15 a/c's per day from now till September. Can't stand a warm home when I get home. Lol. Also I don't run my air very cool. It's set at 76'.

Mine is set to 70 no more no less. Heat sucks.

While at work I can see temps upwards of 110 degrees when our hvac was out last summer we had temps of 130. So when I get home I like the ac. Not below 72 or above 75.
