www.swinebox.com. (http://www.swinebox.com.) Went into BBS today and they had this tour pack shaped like the cvo bags. Loved it! Has more room than a king pack according to one of the reputable guys there but sure doesn't look like it with its slim design. Going to get me one ..........

That looks cool Moe....I was checking them out on their site....shop around...I'm sure you can do better on the price!

Yup....for sure Dave. Curious to see if and how much prices fluctuate between dealerships.

Watch the way you're throwing around "reputable" guys wording...

I'm not buying the more space than a king pack.

Moesride
04-28-2013, 10:02 PM
Yah right......im not talking about you know who. According to a couple of the knowledgeable guys there that I trust, the king has 3850 ci of space and this pack has 4000 ci. Not much difference but bigger none the less.

Gas Man

But I wonder about usefulness of that small size difference.

Moesride
04-28-2013, 10:08 PM
None I would think. Just a selling point for them to state that's its bigger than a king pack . Idk? I just like the room and the way it compliments the cvo style bags

I would want to see one on a bike since im getting a tour pack soon

At this point I think there the only MI. Dealer for this pack. Go in and see if there willing to throw it on one of there bikes before you buy. Another thing I liked about it is it has no latches. It opens with a push button on the underside of the pack , witch is lockable. Cant see it at all.

That looks butt ugly and really out of place. Don't flow or nothing

I like it better than a king. Looks like a chopped. I may have to look into this.

You can see the latch above and where the key goes.

What I don't like about it, is it sticks out too far in the back. I think that may be where they get the extra cubic space out of it.

Just left BBs and its 650 in abs plastic (so same color as my inner fairing which already matches the bike) with latches and hinges and such. Then with pad, mounting hardware and 4 point dock i would be at about 1150.

A plastic tote would look better and is cheaper. That thing is ugly as hell and over priced

I just got off the phone with Mike Wyman from swine box and He answered some of the questions I have and offered to let me come down to toledo to his shop and his partner has a denim black street glide that he said he will let me try out the pack on my bike. So sunday I am going to ride down and check it out.

looks kind of interesting the way it hangs off. "Kind of", I'm not completely sold on it yet. I do however love love love the latching mechanism. If we could get rid of the way the latches work on the king packs that would totally be :boobs:

They brought a denim black box to fit on Medic's bike.

Well I tried the john deere blitz black on the dirty bastard shield I have and it lays on super nice so I am going to paint the box myself when I get it. I can't justify a 200 dollar paint job on a box I'm not going to have on all the time after the cash I'm going to drop on it.

yeah that is true but still my $200 (rough estimate) for the hinges and latches still don't equal $600 - $1700 for new naked swinebox or new painted Tour Pack
