Icon Leg Armor (When I'm wearing my work boots and not my Alpinstars)[/*:m:z089jyx3]
Joe Rocket gauntlet style gloves[/*:m:z089jyx3]
Cortech leather jacket[/*:m:z089jyx3]
Scorpion full face helmet[/*:m:z089jyx3]

Right now...(my gear changes like the wind. And my bikes...)

Scorpion EXO-1000 Apollo helmet, and an Icon DOMAIN PERIMETER helmet, both full face.
Castle Armored short gloves, and Icon Super Duty gloves.
Icon Daytona leather jacket.
Alpinestar One-O-One stunt/riding shoes.

No riding specific pants yet, but am constantly in "purchase" mode for some...

(This list is subject to change without notice or warning on the whim of the owner.* ;D )

I could not get over the amount of people in Florida not wearing helmets or anything.* I can sort of see it down at the Biketoberfest events because there are not any cars and you move at like 2 miles an hour and it's like 90 with a ridiculous humidity level.

if you think floridas bad just go to chicago. rush hour traffic bumper to bumper and bike riders with no helmets

Yup, live in the FL for a while... it's shocking how many people do not wear lids... but the shocking parts was how many people try to convince me that they are not needed and wanted me to not wear mine.

after my accident, i needed no more proof... I will ALWAYS wear a lid.

I was so bummed, I decided that I was going to treat myself to a new helmet.* I've wanted an Akuma Stealth, so I typed it into google.* One of the first things to come up was a Stealth on michiganspeed.com for $200, a guy bought it and didn't like the fit.* Sweet, half off and brand new... SOLD.* Had I decided a couple weeks earlier I could have had a new "lid" that I would probably not see anywhere else.

That's the one with the lights in it. I heard somebody was making one with a ventilation fan in it too, but I don't recall the name.

How do you like that helmet?

Oh I didn't get it, I was too late.* It does have the two lights in the back and the map light in front.* I've seen a couple with the fans in them online, it's a pretty cool concept, especially on a helmet that doesn't have a removable liner.

11-07-2008, 12:10 PM
Oh shit, I see. I misunderstood your post about it.

I'd like to see those in person sometime. The lights would grab attention for night riding and not pose any threat in a crash, but I wonder about that fan in the event of a crash....

Anyway, I've only seen them in magazines, the ideas themselves seem kind of cool I suppose.

Here in the U.P. heated gear extends the riding season. I have Cortech Tourmaster jacket w/heated liner and Tourmaster overpants. Both are water proof
and so don't need a separate rain suit. Also have Gerbings heated gloves which plug into the jacket liner. A portable thermostat keeps me toasty.
